Super Sombrero Slot Review
Prior to reviewing Super Sombrero slot from Skywind, I had no idea that there was something called the Sombrero World Records. It’s a subcategory that you’ll find in RecordSetter, a website dedicated to “the new home of world records.” 📖
There are 12 records involving sombreros on the site, and they include these winners:
Longest time twerking upside down while wearing a sombrero
Most medals worn while wearing a sombrero
Longest time balancing a 24.5-inch aluminum spoon on thumb while wearing a sombrero and stepping on a stepping machine
Yeah, some people have a lot of time on their hands. ⏳🤲
Gameplay
Wowsers, but Super Sombrero slot gets off to a festive start. Load the game and you’ll be greeted with a blast from the Mariachi band. 🎺
The studio has gone with blacks and purples as the color scheme for the grid and background respectively, but the symbols are vibrant and colorful. And also large, which means Super Sombrero slot is a good companion if you want to take your slot game on the road with you.
While the game looks laid back, it actually rocks a high volatility rate and you can win a payout of $250,000. There are 5 paylines, the RTPRTP stands for “Return to Player.” The RTP describes the total bet amount that a game returns to players over millions of spins, and that figure is represented by a percentage. Table games, such as Roulette, typically have higher RTPs than many slots.
RTP needs to be considered in conjunction with a game’s volatility rate. is 96.50%, and there’s a 2,500x multiplier. The two currencies you won’t be able to play with are the Australian dollar and Bitcoin Cash.
You’ll see Wilds land on reels 3, 4, and 5, and they replace all symbols other than Scatters.
Features
FREE SPINS:
OK, so here’s something a bit different: any winning payline with a Wild on it will trigger the Free Spins feature, and you’ll get 5 spins to start with (Free Spins can be re-triggered).
If the triggering win has more than one Wild on a payline, then 5 spins are awarded per line. In this case, you’ll play the initial 5 spins first, followed by the next set of 5 spins.
Each Scatter that lands during the round will award a repeat win; in other words, you’ll be paid the same amount as the line win that set off the Free Spins feature.
BUY BONUS:
You’ve got 3 choices when you use the Buy Bonus option. All of them will get you into the Free Spins round but you can select the size of the winning line your Wilds form a part of when it triggers the feature.
- Wild in 3-of-a-kind payline: 25x
- Wild in 4-of-a-kind payline: 50x
- Wild in 5-of-a-kind payline: 250x
Performance
I played Super Sombrero slot extensively – I tested this bad boy on multiple devices and 2 browsers (Chrome and Safari), and it all went swimmingly.
Maximum Win
Talk about an extensive betting range – you can start placing bets from as little as $0.05, or go all in at $100. If you go with the latter and land the 2,500x multiplier, you’ll walk away with $250,000.
Conclusion
Are you in the mood for something chilled that doesn’t require too much thinking or getting your head around complicated features? Super Sombrero slot could be the game you didn’t know you were looking for.
It’s a super basic game but that doesn’t mean the studio has skimped on the stats, because a quarter of a million is an impressive payout by anyone’s standards. However, you will need deep pockets if you wanna chase that down coz it’ll require staking $100 a pop.
