Temple of Thunder Slot Review
Introduction
Mount Olympus was the seat of the Greek gods and it’s this setting that Evoplay has chosen as the backdrop to their game entitled Temple of Thunder slot.
It’s said that the gods were embattled with the Cyclops, Harpy, and even the gorgon Medusa who wanted to grab the fabulous Olympian wealth for themselves.
Guarding the treasure are the fabled trio of Zeus, Athena, and Hades. But rather generously, these deities are happy for us to alleviate them of their fortune. How nice is that?
Now that this talk of riches has whet our appetites, let’s check out the game in more detail.
Gameplay
It was only a few reviews ago that I was waxing lyrical about another game that looked superb on a mobile phone and then this one came along. And I have to say, playing Temple of Thunder slot on a mobile device might be one of my favorite on-the-go experiences.
You see, on a desktop or laptop, the game shows you a 5x3-reel grid that’s nestled between two columns with some background for effect.
However, on a phone, it’s just the reels and the golden steps leading up to it that take up your whole screen. It’s super impactful and you can see what’s going on from space – which is what you want when you don’t have much screen real estate.
I love how clean and unobtrusive the controls are, too. The visual package, while simple, really works.
Other than its appearance the game offers a 96% RTPRTP stands for “Return to Player.” The RTP describes the total bet amount that a game returns to players over millions of spins, and that figure is represented by a percentage. Table games, such as Roulette, typically have higher RTPs than many slots.
RTP needs to be considered in conjunction with a game’s volatility rate., up to 243 ways to win, and a top prize of €273,375. Nothing wrong there, and the serious players will also applaud the high volatility that can bring in less frequent but higher-paying wins.
Features
In keeping with the stripped-down approach that EvoPlay has taken with this game, the features are threadbare. You only have 1 feature and a Wild symbol.
The WILD appears on reels 2 to 5 and this symbol can replace all others.
SYNC REELS:
Each time you hit SPIN, 2 random adjacent reels get linked together. These linked reels can expand to include 3, 4, or even 5 reels.
Performance
EvoPlay has made sure that Temple of Thunder slot plays seamlessly on all devices and browsers. I racked up a ton of spins on this game and not once did I experience a glitch, a buffer, or any other sort of issue.
Maximum Win
As is befitting the gods, the top prize that’s available in this game is suitably generous. You’ll need a 3,645x multiplier to clinch the €273,375 max win, but that’s no problem for a pro like you, right?
Conclusion
I did bleat on a lot about how cool this game looks on a phone, but that doesn’t hide the truth: there’s not much on offer here.
You get one feature (and no Free Spins, I might add) and that’s it. Sure, it has up to 243 ways to win and a decent top prize, but that won’t appease most players.
Having said all of this, it is a viable option for newcomers – although the high volatility might put them off – as well as appealing to those who like to take their games on the go. For anyone else, I’d suggest moving on.
