The Great Genie Slot Review

If you had one wish, what would it be🤔?

I think since I’m asking this at an online casino, I’m pretty sure most of the answers are going to be something like an endless bankroll🥳.

And you will really, really wish 🙏 you had one when you fire up The Great Genie slot from Playtech.

Gameplay

The Great Genie slot is so packed full of features that this review will become a novelette if I spend too much time writing about anything else. So let’s cover the basics and dive straight into features.

This is a high-volatility, fiat currency-only slot with an RTPRTP stands for “Return to Player.” The RTP describes the total bet amount that a game returns to players over millions of spins, and that figure is represented by a percentage. Table games, such as Roulette, typically have higher RTPs than many slots.

RTP needs to be considered in conjunction with a game’s volatility rate. of 95.44%.
.
You play on a 5x3 game grid in the base game and Free Spins with 50 paylines to win.

You can bet between $0.10 and $100. The best multiplier you can achieve is 3,452x, which can open the way to winning the game’s prize limit of $345,200.

Features

WILD

The Wild symbol is the genie’s lamp, and it substitutes for all symbols with the exception of the Bonus symbol.

BONUS SYMBOL

The Bonus symbol just says Bonus on it, and landing 3, 4, or 5 of them will trigger The Great Bonus Wheel.

Landing 3 Scatters, the Great Bonus Wheel will have all the possible features available. Landing 3 Scatters will eliminate the Pick a Fortune feature; landing 5 will eliminate the Pick a Fortune Bonus and Treasure Quest Bonus.

GOLD COIN SYMBOLS

Gold Coin symbols only appear in the Hold and Re-spin and the Gold of Arabia Free Spins features.

Coin symbols can carry a cash reward that are collected and awarded at the end of the Hold and Re-spin feature or awarded in the Free Spins round when they are collected by the Genie symbol when it lands on the reels.

MAKE A WISH FEATURE

Randomly during the base game on any spin, the genie will emerge out of its lamp and grant 3 possible wishes to pick from to win an On-Reels Feature.

Once you select your wish, it will activate one of the following:

  • Lamp Frenzy: The genie will add up to 9 Wild symbols randomly on the reels.
  • Fortune Princess: The genie will add up to 5 stacked Princess symbols to the reels randomly as they spin.
  • Magic Carpet: A carpet flies in and covers a random number of consecutive reels and adds Wild symbols with possible multiplier values of up to 5x.
  • Wish for Bonus: The genie will add 2 or more Bonus symbols to the reels, potentially triggering The Great Bonus Wheel.
  • Colossal Magic: A massive 3x3 symbol will appear on the reels.
  • Lucky Link: Up to 5 reels are linked and will land the same symbols.

THE GREAT BONUS WHEEL

Before Free Spins start, you will get to “rub” the lamp to spin the wheel and win a feature. You’re then given the option to Collect or Chance.

If you pick Chance, the wheel Re-spins, but only with the next feature up and a mystery cash prize on the wheel. Or choose Collect and start playing your feature.

The two bottom features are:

  • Pick a Fortune Bonus
  • In this feature, you have to pick chests until you reveal 3 matching symbols to win prizes.
  • If you reveal the Lamp symbol, all the cash prizes will be upgraded. If you match 3 Bonus symbols, you get to spin the wheel for a Free Spins round.
  • Treasure Quest Bonus
  • If you win this feature, you’ll be presented with a map to a Palace with numbers along the route and bags of gems scattered randomly. You start on 1 and rub the lamp to - reveal a number to advance on the map.

Each number on the map equates to a 10x cash prize.

The further along the map you get, the bigger the win. If you reach the end of the map and get to the palace, you’ll win 10x 30 or re-trigger the feature.

If you land on a bag of gems, you’ll reveal a mystery reward that will increase the numbers on the map and their prize values.

You get to rub the lamp a random number of times until it reveals Collect. If you reveal Collect, the feature ends, and you’re awarded the prize you ended up on.

FREE SPINS

On the Great Bonus Wheel, there are also a number of Free Spin features to win.

  • Genie Storm Free Spins: You’re awarded 6 Free Spins with a win multiplier of 1x. A stacked Genie symbol is placed on reel 5. On every spin, the Genie moves 1 reel to the left and increases a win multiplier by 1x.
  • Gold of Arabia Free Spins: In this feature, you start with 8 Free Spins. If you land the Genie symbol, it collects all the Cash Coins and Free Game Coins. Multiple Genie symbols can land at once and collect Coin symbols. The Genie symbol is sticky and moves over 1 reel to the left until it disappears off the grid. Wild symbols also land stacked.
  • Desert King Free Spins: Here, you’re awarded 10 Free Spins. The Genie symbol is locked on the 3rd reel and increases the win multiplier by 1x every 2 spins.

HOLD AND RESPIN

There is also a Hold and Re-spin game called Palace of Gold Hold and Respin Bonus.

You play on a 5x5 grid and start with 3 Re-spins and 5 random Coin symbols. Any new symbol that lands is sticky and held in place, and also reset the Re-spins to 3.

The high-paying symbols also take on special modifiers that trigger when they land.

  • Princess symbol: Collects up to 10 prizes present on the reels.
  • King symbol: Boosts other prizes on the reels by up to 10x.
  • Genie symbol: Awards and extra Re-spin, increasing the counter to 4.
  • The Lamp symbol: Awards special prizes of 50x, 75x, or 100x your total bet.

If you manage to fill the grid, the game will award you The Grand prize of 2,000x your total bet.

The feature ends when you run out of Re-spins and no new symbols land or you fill the grid. At this point, you’ll be awarded all the prizes on the reels and returned to the base game.

But The Genie may appear randomly and gift you a random multiplier that is applied to your winnings to give you a new total prize.

JACKPOTS

There are 4 static jackpots on offer during the Hold and Re-spin feature.

  • Mini Jackpot = 50x your current bet.
  • Minor Jackpot = 75x your current bet.
  • Major Jackpot = 100x your current bet.
  • Grand Jackpot = 2,000x your current bet.

To win one of the 3 smaller jackpots, their respective symbol needs to land on the reels.

The Grand Jackpot, as mentioned, is only awarded if you fill all 25 positions on the grid in the Hold and Re-spin feature.

BUY BONUS

For 50x your current bet level, you can guarantee the Genie will appear, and add at least 3 Bonus symbols to the reels, and trigger The Great Bonus Wheel.

Performance

The Great Genie slot played perfectly on all the devices and browsers I tested it on.

Maximum Win

The most this slot pays out is $345,200 if you hit the maximum 3,452x multiplier while betting at the top of the betting range, which is from $0.10 to $100.

Conclusion

This slot doesn’t just offer Free Spins and a Bonus Game.

It offers 3 different Free Spins with various advantages and disadvantages, a Hold and WinThis feature plays out on a new screen. Typically, you get 3 re-spins (which could be re-triggered), and the triggering symbols usually stick to the position on which they land. Your objective is to land as many symbols as possible on the grid (you could land blank tiles, too). feature, plus a Pick and Win Feature, and a Progressive Map game.

And then there are still 4 Jackpots on offer, and a Buy Bonus to activate The Great Bonus Wheel to win one of the features.

There’s also the gamble feature, where you can choose to upgrade your feature to a better one or take a mystery cash prize.

This game has almost every feature we see in countless slots, but jammed into one game!

And that’s not mentioning all the random modifiers that game can throw at you during the base game to help create a win!

This slot will keep you spinning and on the edge of your seat until you’ve managed to trigger all the features. At least that is what I did.

Definitely put The Great Genie slot on your slots to try out in 2024.
