The Vampires Slot Review

Here we go again…
“Ohhh I'm a sexy vampire, please ignore the fact that I'm planning to exsanguinate you.”
“No problem,” you say "because a – you're super hot, and b – I have no idea what exsanguinate means. It sounds kinky, so go ahead.”

Google before you agree people! Just because these creatures of the night have a more extensive vocabulary than you doesn't mean you should let them drain your blood!
But they're so sexy…
Yes, we've established that and forever have Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart changed the P.R for vampires. All they gotta do now is ooze that sex appeal and you'll be ready to ooze blood.

The Vampires is an Endorphina video slot designed to bite you via PC, mobile device or tablet. Once I started playing I quickly realized “Dammit – maybe a roll in the hay with a vampires would be worth it”. I was quickly falling for their luscious appeal (sure they could use a bit of a tan, but those ruby red lips...oh wait – that's not lipstick!).
This slot takes itself seriously which is tough to do in the genre. It's got a classic feel and transported me to a castle far away. It was full of danger but nonetheless, promising a bloody good time.

Gameplay

The Vampires is a medium volatility slot with 5 reels and 30 paylines. An array of beauties – a redhead, brunette and blonde are featured. (I'm partial to redheads – in case your interested. Hold on – did I just over-share?)
The rest of the standard symbols are the male sad-eyed vampire, stake, gun and holy water. The wild is the flying bat, which can substitute for all symbols except:

A chalice of blood, which is the bonus icon and a vampire sucking on a neck, which is the scatter.
The aptly colored red controls are not, in my opinion well entrenched in the theme design-wise. Up top, you can find your Credits while down below: Bet, Menu (including Paytable and Advanced Auto Options), Total Bet, Auto, Spin and Lines.
There's no Turbospin in The Vampires.

Features

  • After every winning spin in regular play, a choice to “Take Risk” is given in which the player can attempt to double their profits with a card choice bet. Choose higher than the dealer and you win, choose lower and you lose.

  • 3 or more scatters anywhere activates 10 Free Spins which each have a 3X multiplier applied!

Unique Features

3 or more bonus symbols in succession from leftmost to right on an active bet payline triggers the bonus game, ominously entitled “Necropolis.” Pour the chalice of blood over tombstones one by one to reveal instant wins. Once a “Game Over” sign is revealed, the game ends and you are paid out your total winnings.

Maximum Win

250 000 coins are the maximum win in The Vampires. I can take Kristen Stewart out on a fabulous date with that amount!

Performance

To be honest, I've seen better graphics and animations in this genre. The one's rendered here are good enough, but that's about it – there's nothing memorable to them (Ok – apart from the women maybe). The music and sound effects hit all the right notes of eerie foreboding danger. Performance wise I had zero complaints after testing The Vampires on 3 different platforms.

Conclusion

Just not scary enough for a slot aimed at realism would have to be my summary. But, looking past that, The Vampires has a lot to offer when it comes to features. Once all Free Spins wins are trebled, it's hard to go wrong from there. So if you're a fan of bloodsuckers, this one is definitely worth a spin, but even if you're averse to the undead, give The Vampires a chance as it won't scare you too much, but will hopefully reward you heaps!
