Gameplay

Tippy's Golden Pot slot is an Irish-themed game that isn’t offensive to Irish people at all. Probably.

In the base game, you play on 5-reels and 3-rows with 1024 ways to win. Just land matching symbols in any position, starting from the left to the right, to win.

The high-paying symbols are a mushroom, a pair of gold acorns, a pair of four-leaf clovers, and a butterfly.

There are a bunch of special symbols that trigger different features, which I get into under the Features section below.

You can bet from $0.10 up to $25 per spin. You’re also limited to fiat currencies, with the exception of the Japanese yen and Russian ruble.

The Bonus symbol is 3 gold coins with a banner with BONUS across it. You need to land 3 or more to trigger the Bonus feature.

The number of Bonus symbols also determines the type of Bonus feature.

  • 3 Bonus symbols: You start with 3 Re-spins, no Star symbols collected, and 3 Coins symbols on the reels.
  • 4 Bonus symbols: You start with 4 Re-spins, 3 Star symbols collected, and 4 Coins symbols on the reels.
  • 5 Bonus symbols: You start with 4 Re-spins, 6 Star symbols collected, 4 Coins, and 1 Chest symbol (a sticky collector symbol) on the reels.

COIN SYMBOL

These gold coin symbols only appear in the Bonus feature. At the start of the feature Coin symbol values are between 1x and 9x your bet level.

During the feature, Coin symbols can have values between 1x and 50x your current bet level.

STAR SYMBOL

The Star symbol appears in the Bonus Feature, and can award upgrades. You need to collect 3 stars to be awarded an additional Re-spin.

Collecting 6 Star symbols awards a Chest symbol, which collects any new Coin symbol values.

BONUS FEATURE

The Bonus feature is played on a new set of 5 reels with 4 unlocked reels and 2 reels above them that are locked at the start.

Coin symbols are sticky and stay in place until the end of the feature. Landing 1 or more new Coin symbols resets the number of Re-spins you have left back to the amount you started with.

During the Bonus feature, special symbols are added to the reels.

  • Diamond symbol: This symbol unlocks the lowest locked reel once.
  • Jug symbol: This beer mug symbol lands with a value between 1x and 9x and adds its value to all other symbols values once.
  • Barrel symbol: This symbol is sticky until the end of the feature, has a value between 1x and 9x, and adds its value to all other symbols after each spin.
  • Pouch symbol: This symbol lands with a value between 1x and 9x and it collects all other symbol cash values, and adds them to itself, and awards the total once.
  • Chest symbol: This is a sticky symbol that stays in place until the end of the feature. It collects all other symbol values and adds them to its total after each spin.
  • Tippy symbol: This symbol has a multiplier value of 2x to 9x, multiplies all other symbols cash values, and is removed from the reels.
  • Tippy Gold symbol: If a Coin, Jug, Barrel, or Pouch symbol reaches a value of 250x your current bet, they’re turned into a Tippy Gold symbol. If a Chest symbol reaches the value of 2,500x your current bet, it’s also turned into a Tippy Gold symbol. These symbols can still be collected by Pouch or Chest symbols.

Hot Spots: During the Bonus feature, Hot Spots can appear and increase the chances of a special or Star symbol landing on that reel. A maximum of 3 Hot Spots can appear at a time on the reels during any spin.
Rainbow Hot Spots: Only 1 of these can appear on any Re-spin and guarantees a special or Star symbol will land on its position.

TIPPY POTS FEATURE

As mentioned, the 3 Wilds correspond to this game’s Jackpot prizes. The purple, green, and red Wild symbols increase the Minor, Major, and Mega Jackpots, respectively.

Every Wild that lands also increases its respective prize by 0.5x your bet.

Anytime a Wild symbol hits, there is a chance it will trigger the Tippy Pots Jackpot Wheel and give you a chance to win 1 of the 3 prizes. If a Jackpot is awarded, it resets to its starting value.

  • The Minor Jackpot starts at 10x your current bet and can reach a maximum of 100x your bet.
  • The Major Jackpot starts at 50x your current bet and can reach a maximum of 500x your bet.
  • The Mega Jackpot starts at 1,000x your current bet and can reach a maximum of 10,000x your bet.

BUY BONUS

You can guarantee 3, 4, or 5 Bonus symbols will land on the very next spin using the Buy Bonus feature for 40x, 80x, and 250x your current bet, respectively.

Performance

So the Bonus game is the entire point of the game, but the Wilds are also instrumental in winning the Jackpots.
