Tower Quest Legacy Slot Review

I never got into super nerdyšŸ¤“games like Magic: The Gathering, despite my being a D&DšŸ‰fan. Mostly because it requires you to do some complicated strategizing🧠. And the people who play it look like they haven't bathed properly in weeks.

I know this because I went to a comic convention, and there were tabletop game tournaments all throughout the day, and the MTG tournament went on the longest and attracted the biggest audience. And none of them, man or woman, looked clean🤮.

I didn’t understand any part of it. Thank the makers of Tower Quest Legacy slotšŸŽ°from Play'n Go for making the Bonus Game more like PokĆ©mon rather than that other nerdy ass card game.

Gameplay

Tower Quest Legacy slot starts with an animation where we zoom in on a dark, magical-looking tower and end up focusing on a wizard, who is clearly evil, and we’re taken to a new screen where we see this game’s 5-reel, 3-row grid with 20 paylines.

The high symbols are a male elven warrior, a female elven warrior, a dragon, a skeleton warrior, and an orc warrior. The Wild symbol is the size of 3 symbols and it's the tower from the opening animation. Wilds that can land fully or partially on the reels.

The evil wizard acts as a Scatter that only appears on reels 1, 3, and 5 and triggers this game’s Bonus when 3 land at once. There are also blue Flask and red Flask Scatters that fill the left and right bars when they land, respectively.

I’ll get into the Flask feature in a second. Before we do that, this is a fiat currency-only game with the exception of the Japanese yen. You can bet as low as $0.15 and as high as $150 with plenty of bet levels in between.
The most you can win here is 1,500x or $225,000 if you’re wagering the highest bet. The base game has medium volatility, and the Bonus Game has high volatility. The RTPRTP stands for ā€œReturn to Player.ā€ The RTP describes the total bet amount that a game returns to players over millions of spins, and that figure is represented by a percentage. Table games, such as Roulette, typically have higher RTPs than many slots.

RTP needs to be considered in conjunction with a game’s volatility rate.
is always 96.28%

Features

FLASK FEATURE

The Red Flask Meter on the right side of the reels has 3 milestones that trigger the features in order as I listed below. The meter can contain up to 30 Red Flask Scatters.

Collecting these Scatters unlocks the Free Spins feature, which you can choose to trigger a round by clicking the red button under the bar meter or not and build up to the next Free Spins feature.

The Blue Flask Meter, located on the left side of the reels, features 3 milestones and can store up to 15 Blue Flask Scatters.

Collecting these can unlock 1 of the 3 Re-spins features at a time, which you can choose to trigger using the blue button under the bar meter or save it for a better version of the Re-spin feature.

After playing Free Spins or Re-spins, the meters reset and you need to start collecting again. Your progress filling the meters is saved at your current bet level.

FREE SPINS

All the Free Spins versions consist of a round of 5 Free Spins with different features depending on how many Scatters you collected in the base game.

Empowered Wilds
When you collect 10 Red Flask Scatters, you can trigger Empowered Wilds. In this feature the Tower Wild symbols gain a 3x multiplier. If more than 1 Wild helps create a win, the total amount is only multiplied by 3x.

Wild Adventurers
If you collect 20 Red Flask Scatters, you can unlock the possibility of activating this feature, during which the 2 highest-paying symbols turn into Wild symbols.

Everburning Wilds
Collecting 30 Red Flask Scatters will trigger this feature, where a Sticky Wild is added to the reels at the end of every Free Spin and remains in place throughout the feature.

You can manually activate only the most recently unlocked feature by clicking the red button under the meter. Once the meter is filled, it automatically triggers the final feature.

RE-SPINS

The Tower
Collecting 5 Blue Flask Scatters unlocks this feature. When activated, you’re awarded 1 Re-spin, with reel 3 becoming a Wild Reel with a 2x multiplier that is applied to any wins it helps to create. As long as you hit a win, Re-spins continue.

If a winning payline contains more than one Wild, the winning amount only receives a 2x multiplier.

Battle of The Wilds
This feature, which awards a Re-spin and temporarily transforms the 5 highest-paying symbols into Wild symbols, can be activated by collecting 10 Blue Flask Scatters.

Towers of Dark Power
Collecting 15 Blue Flask Scatters will unlock this feature. This feature awards a Re-spin with reels 1, 3, and 5 becoming Wild Reels.

Similar to Free Spins, you can manually activate only the most recently unlocked feature by clicking the blue button under the meter. Once the meter is full, it automatically triggers the final feature.

BONUS GAME

Landing 3 Bonus Scatter Wizard symbols on reels 1, 3 and 5 triggers this feature.

Before the Bonus Game starts, you’re given the option of choosing the female or male elven warrior to play with.

To begin the Bonus Game, each round requires you to pick 3 cards. The vertically adjacent cards in play will then battle each other, comparing the opponent's attack value against their health value.

Each defeated Wizard card awards a random prize and inflicts 1 damage to the Wizard. Your goal is to reduce the Wizard’s health points to 0. Killing the Wizard awards 100x of the total bet.

Each defeated Wizard card awards a random prize: 7x, 8x, 10x, 12x, 15x, 20x, 30x, 50x, 80x, or 140x your bet. If the battle ends in a draw, where both your card and the Wizard's card are defeated, you’re randomly awarded 1x, 2x, 3x, 4x, 5x, 6x, 7x, 8x, 9x or 10x your bet.

You lose if the Wizard wins. During the battle, you can trigger two special features:

Special Attack
When 2 identical cards are selected by either you or the Wizard, this feature triggers, reducing the opponent’s life and cards' health by 1.

The female elf uses Arrowstorm, where arrows rain down on the Wizards cards, and the male elf uses Bladed Fury, where sword slashes at the Wizards cards and the Wizard casts Voidborne Hex, a creepy purple magic bursts towards your cards.

Superpower
When 3 identical cards are selected by either you or the Wizard, this feature triggers and reduces the opponent’s life and cards' health by 1 and doubles the attack value of the owner's cards.

The Warrior you choose doesn’t influence the game's outcome.

Performance

I tested this game on my Android phone and gaming laptop and didn’t encounter any issues.

Maximum Win

Bets range from $0.15 to $150. If you manage to hit the game’s top multiplier of 1,500x while playing with the highest bet, you can win $225,000.
Conclusion

This game boasts an abundance of features! There are 3 versions of Free Spins and Re-spins! Plus, a Magic the Gathering-style Bonus Game where you play cards with the game’s wizard character. It’s a nerdy gamer's dream in slot form!

This has a lot in common with another recent fantasy-themed game, Make It Gold slot. You fill bar meters of flasks during the base game, except in Tower Quest Legacy slot, you get to choose whether you activate the first 2 Free Spins, or Re-spins rounds, or save it for the best version.

The game has excellent design and animation, far better than most games. You can play it on your couch or while on the go, as it plays flawlessly on phones. Definitely give this game a shot, and good luck!
