Triple Wild Slot Review
When it comes to injuries incurred on the job, W.A.S.P. guitarist Chris Holmes suffered one of the weirdest.
You see, the shock metal band made a name for themselves in the Eighties by wearing buzzsaw codpieces, singing about lewd acts, and throwing meat into the crowd during concerts.
Well, the latter thing backfired because at a show in Finland in 1984, someone threw a huge chunk of frozen meat at Holmes and knocked him the f**k out!
You might be asking yourself – that’s all fair and well, but why are we talking about a lycra-wearing band from the dark ages in this intro? It’s simple – one of the band’s most well-known songs is called Wild Child and that’s my tie-in with Triple Wild slot from Amatic.
It’s weak, I know, but not as weak as the max win that’s on offer. Sorry, but it’s true.
Gameplay
Spoiler alert: If it’s cool aesthetics you’re after, then this isn’t the game for you. Now that we’ve got that out of the way, we can discuss how Triple Wild slot looks on various devices.
First up is the good old laptop. The game looks the same here as on a tablet in landscape mode, which is decent.
Now flip the tablet into portrait mode, and we have a very different scenario. Viewed like this, the 5x3-reel grid is way too small – there’s so much background on the screen, it makes the small grid look even smaller than it is.
Things fare better on a phone, however. The game looks fine in portrait mode and really good in landscape.
An interesting thing that Triple Wild slot offers is that when you set your bet level, it’ll show you what that translates to, given that you have 10 paylines. Like, the math isn’t that hard, I’ll grant you, but new players might not realize that a €1 bet across 10 paylines equals €10.
Scratching under the surface, we find an RTPRTP stands for “Return to Player.” The RTP describes the total bet amount that a game returns to players over millions of spins, and that figure is represented by a percentage. Table games, such as Roulette, typically have higher RTPs than many slots.
RTP needs to be considered in conjunction with a game’s volatility rate. that comes in at 97.12%, a high volatility rate but, astonishingly, a max win that’s only €13,590. I checked it twice to make sure it wasn’t a typo. It’s for realz, people.
Betting can happen with fiat currency, but with the exclusion of the Australian dollar and Japanese yen. Also struck off the list are Bitcoin Cash, Ethereum, Tether, and Dogecoin.
This is usually the part where I speak about the various symbols you’ll see in the game. The Wilds fall under Features this time, leaving us with the Scatters. And yes, there are 2 of em: a bell and star Scatter, respectively.
Features
EXPANDING WILDS:
The Wild symbol will substitute for all symbols on the same reel, except for Scatters, and they can also expand to fill the reel they land on. Wilds appear on reels 2, 3, and 4.
Performance
The performance on Triple Wild slot was seamless. I tried it out on my laptop, tablet, and mobile phone and experienced no issues.
Maximum Win
Yeah, so this is where I have a problem. A high-volatility game with a max win of €13,590 – say what? Sadly, that’s how it is. The max multiplier comes in at 1,359x and when coupled with the max bet of €10… well, you can do the math.
The minimum bet you can place is €0.10 if you’re in it for some entertainment, rather than chasing that earth-shattering (not) top prize.
Conclusion
I’m afraid I don’t have much good to say about Triple Wilds slot. The aesthetics are weak, the max win is ludicrous given the volatility rate, and there are no Free Spins or features other than the expanding Wilds.
There’s not a whole helluva lot to get excited about, and there are loads of other games in the genre that’ll do a better job. I reckon you should look elsewhere.
