Tsar Wars Slot Review

You don’t get an intro from me today. I can’t come up with anything nearly as entertaining as what Nolimit City has come up with for their latest game, Tsar Wars slot. So, here goes!

“A long time ago in a galaxy far, far East… The evil Tsar Lord Nikolai II rules the galaxy with fear and ruthlessness. But rebellion is brewing. 🙀

A brave group of outlaws, Princess Leianin, Han Stalin, and Marx Skytalker, travel through the star system aboard the Century Eagle 🦅 on a mission to bring balance to the galaxy.

With ancient knowledge of the Force, Marx is ready to overthrow the Empire but standing in their way is the tsar side’s enforcer, Darth Rasputin.” 🤣

Gameplay

I’d already fallen for this game when I read the title (don’t worry; I’ll remain objective, I promise). The grid takes on a 6-reel, 6-row configuration, so it’ll come as no surprise to learn that we’ve got a Cluster PaysUnlike traditional paylines, Cluster Pays can award wins when a minimum number of matching symbols land adjacent to each other (vertically or horizontally), forming a cluster. mechanic here. That also means a CascadeOtherwise known as a Tumble, Avalanche, or whatever a studio sees fit to name it. The idea is the same, though; winning symbols get removed, and new ones take their place. This action could result in additional wins, in which case the action continues. feature.

Wins are achieved by landing 5 or more matching symbols, and these need to be connected vertically or horizontally. After each CascadeOtherwise known as a Tumble, Avalanche, or whatever a studio sees fit to name it. The idea is the same, though; winning symbols get removed, and new ones take their place. This action could result in additional wins, in which case the action continues., the active multiplier – which you’ll see to the right of the grid – will increase by a factor of one.

You could also see big symbols landing; these can be 2x2 or 3x3 in size.

And now for some stats:

  • RTPRTP stands for “Return to Player.” The RTP describes the total bet amount that a game returns to players over millions of spins, and that figure is represented by a percentage. Table games, such as Roulette, typically have higher RTPs than many slots.

RTP needs to be considered in conjunction with a game’s volatility rate.
    : 96.05%
  • Volatility RateSlot games can have low, medium, high, or extremely high volatility rates (or a combination thereof).

The less volatile the game, the more often it should pay out, but the lower the amount, the less the payout, as this is in keeping with the risk you’re taking. Volatility rate should be considered in conjunction with a game’s RTP.
    : High
  • Max Multiplier: 19,755x
  • Max Win: $355,590
  • Available Currencies: Only the Australian dollar is a no-go

You can make out what’s going on if you play on a mobile device (in either orientation), so don’t let the fact that you wanna play on a small screen hold you back.

Features

TRAPPED WILD:

When a Wild is trapped (you’ll see an animation to help you identify this), and it’s part of a winning combo, or if it’s removed by an xBomb Wild explosion, it’ll transform into a regular Wild.

WILD RUSH:

When this feature triggers, you’ll see Princess Leianin get his/her dance moves on, and 2 to 5 random symbols will be transformed into Wilds.

FORCE SHIFT:

Marx Skytalker busts a move when this one initiates, and now 1 to 3 random symbols will transform into another symbol of the same or different sort.

XBOMB WILD:

Next up is Han Stalin doing his best John Travolta in Pulp Fiction impression. Now, 1 to 3 random symbols will transform into xBomb Wilds. These symbols substitute for all symbols other than the Tsar Side ones.

If an xBomb explodes, it’ll remove adjacent symbols (also not Tsar Side ones). Wilds increase the global multiplier by 1x for the next CascadeOtherwise known as a Tumble, Avalanche, or whatever a studio sees fit to name it. The idea is the same, though; winning symbols get removed, and new ones take their place. This action could result in additional wins, in which case the action continues.. If there happens to be a big symbol next to an xBomb Wild, the whole big symbol will be removed.

DESTRUCTION SPIN:

There’s a meter to the left of the grid; this bad boy fills up when 25 winning symbols are collected. The meter resets after a non-winning spin, so you’ll need to achieve this in one go.

When the meter is full, and there are no more wins, you’ll be awarded a Destruction Spin where xBombs, the Wild Rush and Force Shift are guaranteed to trigger at least one time.

REVOLUTION (FREE) SPINS:

Fill the Destruction Meter during Destruction Spins to trigger this round. You can now choose between the Wild Rush, Force Shift, or xBomb Wild. Based on your decision, you’ll be given 5, 6, or 7 spins, respectively.

The other cool thing is that you’ll start Revolution Spins with a 15x multiplier. Fill the Destruction Meter with 30 winning symbols and 2 additional spins are awarded, and the win multiplier will be doubled!

TSAR SIDE (FREE) SPINS:

Look out for the Tsar Side symbol. When this lands during Destruction Spins and the Destruction Meter is filled with 25 winning symbols, you’ll be awarded 6 Free Spins.

Wild Rush, Force Shift, and xBomb Wild will trigger at least once on each spin. Again, you start with a 15x multiplier, and you get 2 extra spins when the Meter is filled with 30 winning symbols (and the multiplier doubles).

BUY BONUS:

  • Pay 12x for 2 guaranteed features (Wild Rush, Force Shift, or xBomb Wilds).

  • Pay 30x for Destruction Spins.

  • Pay 60x for at least one Trapped symbol of 2x2 or 3x3 size, guaranteed.

  • Pay 5x for a chance to trigger Wild Rush, Force Shift, or xBomb Wilds randomly.

  • Pay 100x for Revolution Spins.

  • Pay 500x for Tsar Side Spins.

  • Pay 300x for a lucky draw where you could win either of these features.

Performance

Glorious; that’s what my experience was like. I didn’t have any loading issues or hassles when swapping browsers or devices.

Maximum Win

The max multiplier is 19,755x, and the max win is $355,590. Betting ranges from $0.20 to $18.

Conclusion

Tsar Wars slot is one of the few Nolimit games with a “mere” high volatility, but don’t let that fool you; this is still a hectic game, and I’m going to let the numbers tell you how I came to that conclusion.

The max win probability is 1 in 400 million. To put that in context, if you played 1,000 spins per day, you’d need 1,096 years to reach that 400-million mark. So you’d have to entreat the gods big time because an intervention will be needed!

The organic Free Spin hit rate is 1 in 255 (0.39%), which is a looooong time to go without triggering this feature, and it implies you’ll need to dip into one of the Buy Bonuses to break a dry spell.

The hit frequency for wins is 21.20%, which means that 1 in every 5 spins could yield a win. That’s quite good for a high volatility game, but it also means that those wins will invariably be small, with only the occasional large win hitting.

When it comes to the Buy Bonus options, the 30x one seems to be a good option as it eliminates the need to accumulate winning symbols to trigger while keeping the costs manageable.

The highest value proposition, as they say, is the 300x Lucky Draw. This could work for aggressive players with a substantial bankroll, as you could potentially score the Tsar Side Spins for a lot less money (of course, you could end up paying triple for Revolution Spins, too).
