Tuk Tuk Thailand Slot Review

I’ve been told that if I go to Thailand, I should watch out for two things: ladyboys and Tuk Tuks. A pilot friend told me a story that perfectly illustrates this point.

My mate’s colleague allegedly picked up a local lovely and, being an aspiring dentist – I mean, what else could he have meant? – the gent conducted an oral exam.

She passed that test with flying colors, but it later transpired that she had a home team advantage. And an extra appendage.

Tuk Tuks also make promises based on their appearance that aren’t carried through into reality. You see, these three-wheeled vehicles can cost as much as a metered taxi ride, despite being rickety death traps.

The moral of the story then is this: things aren’t always what they seem to be in Thailand.

This is Tuk Tuk Thailand slot from Habanero.

Gameplay

Habanero’s choice of scenery struck me as pretty weird. Of all the Thai-related backgrounds they could’ve chosen, a rooftop in a residential area wouldn’t have been my first choice.

And one would think that it should be more of a street-level thing, given that Tuk Tuk’s drive around on the street, last I checked. Anyhoo.

The game has been designed in an eye-catching way, and it’s full of detail which adds to the experience. On the reels are symbols such as lotus blossoms, dishes of grub, dragon mask-type things, dragon boats, and tigers throwing fist pumps.

The mobile view in portrait mode is bizarre. The 5-reel grid sits at the top of the screen, taking up maybe a third of the real estate, while the rest is background and controls.

Oh, and there’s a dark gray line running from left to right – what the hell is that all about? If you’re gonna play on your phone, just go straight to landscape mode.

The stats play out as follows: 243 ways to win, a 96.75% RTPRTP stands for “Return to Player.” The RTP describes the total bet amount that a game returns to players over millions of spins, and that figure is represented by a percentage. Table games, such as Roulette, typically have higher RTPs than many slots.

RTP needs to be considered in conjunction with a game’s volatility rate.
, and a high volatility rating. If you were expecting a massive max win, then get ready for some serious disappointment – the most you can win is €76,250.

On the plus side, all currencies are available so you can play in either fiat or crypto.

Features

The Wild symbol is our fabled Tuk Tuk, and it replaces all symbols other than the Scatter. Scatter wins are multiplied by the total bet, and Scatters also pay wherever they land on the reels (but you’ll only see these symbols in the base game).

The lotus is the Money symbol, which can randomly award cash prizes. Money symbols carry the following multiplier values: 5x, 10x, 15x, 250x, 500x, 1,000x, and 2,500x.

FREE SPINS:

You’ll need at least 3 Scatters to trigger the Free Spins round, and the number of triggering Scatters will determine how many Wilds will appear on the reels:

3 Scatters = 1 Wild on the furthest reel to the right
4 Scatters = 2 Wilds on the furthest reel to the right
5 Scatters = 3 Wilds on the furthest reel to the right

Wilds that land on the left-most reel will be removed. Any other visible Wilds will move one reel to the left with each spin.

Free Spins can’t be re-triggered.

Oh, and before I forget, you’d best steel yourself for the visual assault that comes courtesy of the new reels you’ll be playing on. It’s a serious assault on the senses – you’ll understand what I mean when you get there.

BUY FEATURE:

Rather than waiting for Free Spins to come along (and in my experience, they did take their sweet time), you can simply buy your way in.

When you click on the Buy Feature button, you’ll be confronted with 3 options:

Option 1: 3, 4, or 5 Scatters will land
Option 2: 4 Scatters and 2 Wilds are guaranteed to land
Option 3: 5 Scatters and 3 Wilds are guaranteed to land

As for the cost, each option will show you how much you’ll have to cough up.

Performance

Like the ever-reliable Tuk Tuk, this game kept chugging along across all devices and browsers. And trust me, I threw the kitchen sink at it and there was nothing I could do to unsettle the gameplay.

Maximum Win

Yeah, so a high volatility rate on this game doesn’t guarantee the type of max win we’d see elsewhere as it’s only €76,250.

The other thing is that the max multiplier is also somewhat on the anemic side – at 1,525x – and that means you’ll have to sustain your bets at €50 if you want a shot at the top prize. At least there’s a decent betting spread, as you can place your stake from a mere €0.25.

Conclusion

I’m going to have to go all Simon Cowell on this one and give it a thumbs down. I’m basing my assessment on the fact that the only true feature is a Free Spins round, and that the max win is totally out of sync with the volatility rate.

If you’re in the market for simple games, there are tons of better ones available that will pay you commensurate to your risk.
