My brother-in-law is in town for a visit. He’s a fun🥳 dude. Too fun, in fact. We spent last weekend drinking beer🍻 and living it up at every excellent restaurant we could find.

We had a blast🚀. Except he is over 6 feet tall and built like an outhouse. So he can pile away the beers and go for a morning run to sweat out his hangovers. I die in bed all day🤢. Then we meet up and do it again.

I can’t drink on his level. I can drink on all 4 levels in Twofold the Gold slot from Quickfire.

Gameplay

This is a medium-volatility game with an RTPRTP stands for “Return to Player.” The RTP describes the total bet amount that a game returns to players over millions of spins, and that figure is represented by a percentage. Table games, such as Roulette, typically have higher RTPs than many slots.

RTP needs to be considered in conjunction with a game’s volatility rate. of 96.01%. Twofold the Gold slot is played on 5 reels, 3 rows, with 25 paylines.

During the base game, there is a Chest at the top of the reels, that counts down 1 for every spin. Once the counter reaches 0, you level up in the Lucky Levels feature, which I’ll explain under the Features section.

To the left of the Chest on top of reel 5 a Free Spins Multiplier is displayed. It starts at 1x and comes into play during the Free Spins feature. On the reels, you’ll see high-paying symbols that include a beer keg, a horseshoe, a beer, and smoking pipe.

The WIld symbol is an ornate W symbol that appears on reels 2 to 5 and can substitute all the pay symbols except the Scatter, Wheel Bonus Boosters, Trigger and Prize symbols. The Scatter is a four-leaf clover that only appears on reels 2, 3, and 4.

Lucky Level 2 introduces Wheel Bonus Boosters to the reels, which increase the Jackpots on the Wheel Bonus.

Bets are limited from $0.25 to $50. The highest possible win is $250,000, and you can win it by hitting the top multiplier of 5,000x while wagering the maximum bet.

Prize symbols are gold coins that range from 0.8x to 200x value. They’re awarded when a Trigger symbol, the leprechaun character, lands on reels 5, or reel 1 and 5 on Lucky Level 3.

LUCKY LEVELS

Spins in the base game open the following levels and their features.

Lucky Level 1: After 20 base game spins, a Magic Hat can now randomly appear and add Wild and Prize symbols onto random positions on reels 2 to 4.

Lucky Level 2: Following 50 base game spins, the reels receive the addition of 5 Wheel Bonus Boosts. Landing these symbols will increase the wheel's prizes.

Lucky Level 3: After 100 base game spins, reel 1 receives an addition of a Trigger symbol and a second Win Multiplier.

Lucky Level 4: After 200 base game spins, all Free Spins rounds guarantee a minimum win of 20x to 200x your total bet.

FREE SPINS

During the base game, pay symbols can land with a Mushroom symbol. Whenever a Mushroom appears, it increases the Free Spins Multiplier by 0.5x.

Once you activate the Free Spins Multiplier above reel 1, each Mushroom symbol that appears increases both Free Spins Multiplier values by 0.5x. The highest that either of the multipliers can achieve is 10x.

You receive 10 Free Spins when you trigger the feature. During this feature, if three Scatter symbols land simultaneously, you'll receive 10 additional Free Spins.

The Win Multiplier above reel 5 is applied to all the Trigger symbol payouts. And when you’re on Lucky Level 3, the added Win Multiplier applies to the Trigger symbol payouts on reel 1.

Free Spins Multipliers reset after Free Spins.

Every time one of the Free Spins Multipliers increases on Lucky Level 4, your minimum win for Free Spins increases by 5x. The minimum win starts at 20x and can increase up to 200x your bet.

If your total win at the conclusion of the Free Spins falls below the minimum win, we will increase your total win to match it. After Free Spins, the minimum win resets to between 20x and 80x.

JACKPOTS

Wheel Bonus

Any Prize symbol that lands without a Trigger symbol can randomly activate the Wheel Bonus. You only have one spin on the wheel to win one of the prizes. The initial values are as follows:

  • The Mega Jackpot is 1,250x your bet.
  • The Major Jackpot is 200x your bet.
  • The Minor Jackpot is 50x your bet.
  • The Maxi Jackpot is 10x your bet.
  • The Mini Jackpot is 5x your bet.

Wheel Bonus Boosters

When Bonus Booster Tokens land with regular pay symbols, they’re collected and double their corresponding Jackpot Prize up to the following maximum values:

  • The Mega Jackpot increases to 5,000x your bet.
  • The Major Jackpot increases to 800x your bet.
  • The Minor Jackpot increases to 200x your bet.
  • The Maxi Jackpot increases to 80x your bet.
  • The Mini Jackpot increases to 40x your bet.

Each bet stores these boosted prizes. The Wheel Bonus feature resets all prizes to their initial values after completion.

Performance

This game played perfectly on my Android phone and gaming laptop.

Maximum Win

If you play with the highest bet in the range, which starts at $0.25 and ends at $50, you can win the game's $250,000 cap if you line up the highest multiplier of 5,000x.

Conclusion

You receive rewards for persevering in this game. However, I'm not sure if I'm a fan of the game's levels. We all know this is a rather transparent ploy to keep you spinning, even if you’re losing.

And the Level features don’t have any real material difference to the base game past Level 1. Collector features are having a bit of a moment in slots these days for some reason, so this game’s Collect Express feature is a dime a dozen right now.

The game looks okay, but it’s not going to win any design awards.

To increase your chances of winning 5,000 times your bet, you must land 4 corresponding Wheel Bonus Boost symbols and then land on the Mega Jackpot on the Wheel Bonus. There are way too many hoops to jump through.

Not a terrible game. Not an outstanding game. Make of that what you will.
