Vaultrix Review
In 1986, TV reporter Geraldo Rivera went live 📺 to open Al Capone's vault. For those of you who've lived under a rock or are younger than the shoes in my closet, Capone was the gangster who ran Chicago's underworld during Prohibition.
The vault sat under the Lexington Hotel. Geraldo spent 2 hours hyping the whole thing up. When the crew finally broke into the vault, all they discovered inside was dirt and a few empty bottles 🍾. Talk about a letdown!
This is Vaultrix from Mancala, and this time it's you and I who are going to be facing a steel door with a combination dial on the front. I'm hoping there's more behind this one than the remnants of a good party. 🎉

Gameplay
Unlike Geraldo, I'm not going to hype up this game. By the way, there's not much to say about the aesthetics. It's a vault with 4 rings around a center dial: Red on the outside, Green in the middle, Blue on the inside, and a Gold bonus ring.
The RTPRTP stands for “Return to Player.” The RTP describes the total bet amount that a game returns to players over millions of spins, and that figure is represented by a percentage. Table games, such as Roulette, typically have higher RTPs than many slots.
RTP needs to be considered in conjunction with a game’s volatility rate. is 95%, the volatility is listed as Variable, and the max multiplier is 800x. The max win is $8,000, with bets running from $0.10 to $10. Every currency is fine to use.
This is a game for those of us who don’t like to tax our brains too much. Pick your bet, hit PLAY, and the dial spins. Hold PLAY down and it keeps auto spinning for as long as your finger stays on the button (which is irritating; where’s the Autoplay function?).
You can only change the bet once the round is over, and it stays locked while there's at least 1 filled segment on the Red, Green or Blue ring.
Each ring is a ladder of multipliers, and every matching sector fills the next step. Red climbs the outer ring at 3.5x, 11.5x, 26x, 48x, 84x, 137x and 215x.
Fill the whole thing and 140x lands straight in your balance as a Free Cash Out, and then the Red ring moves one step back.
Green works the middle ring at 2.2x, 7x, 15x, 26.8x and 43.8x, and a full ring pays 23x instantly. Blue is the pocket change on the inner ring at 1.4x, 4.5x and 9.8x, plus 7.7x for filling it. Both drop back one step after paying out, same as Red.
Gold fills the last ring at 30x, 100x, 300x and 800x, and I'll get to that under Features.
Then there are the 2 sectors you don't want. Violet is neutral: the bet is lost, but every filled segment stays where it is. Black is the one to watch out for, because it knocks every ring back by 1 segment.
Full Cash Out is how a round normally ends. It pays the highest lit multiplier on each ring, added together and multiplied by your bet, and you can start a new game right away.
Features
PARTIAL CASH OUT:
This button opens up once at least 2 segments are filled on a single ring. Press it and it pays the difference between the last filled segment and the one before it, on every filled ring.
BONUS GAME:
Fill 2 Blue, 3 Green and 4 Red segments and the Gold ring becomes available. An extra Gold sector shows up on the dial at the same time.
Each Gold landing fills 1 segment, at 30x, 100x, 300x and then 800x. Fill the whole ring and the rules promise a huge win, paid straight into your balance, and then every Gold segment resets to 0.
Once the Gold ring is available, Black knocks its progress back as well, and a Full or Partial Cash Out affects it too.
While the ring is inactive, any progress on it is left alone by Black and both cash outs, and it stays saved for as long as you keep the same bet.
Performance
Vaultrix ran cleanly for my whole session, which isn't surprising given it's not the most complicated game in the world.
Maximum Win
Put the top bet of $10 on the dial, and the max multiplier of 800x (the last Gold segment) turns it into a max win of $8,000. The smallest bet is $0.10.
Conclusion
The money in the game is on the Gold ring, no contest. Red does the heavy lifting in the base build. Green and Blue are small change next to that.
Getting to the max multiplier is a long walk. You need 2 Blue, 3 Green and 4 Red to open Gold, then 4 Gold landings, and every Black along the way knocks you back a step.
You can't buy your way to the Gold ring or pay extra to get there faster, so every segment gets built the slow way, at full price per crank.
Partial Cash Out is the button I'd lean on. It banks the latest step on each ring. I'd use it every time Red climbs past 26x rather than wait for Black to make the decision for me.
Players who like choosing their own exit, like crash and Mines fans and other push-your-luck types, will feel at home here.
