Viking Runecraft Slot Review
Vikings seem to be making a real comeback. I mean, not to treat them like a fall trend, but they really seem to be in this season! Thor is a major sex symbol of our time, I know few people who don’t want to get down and dirty with the god of thunder. Look, I can’t say I see the appeal in a tall knot of muscle that doesn’t understand how the world works. But the volume of fan art and spin of porn speaks for itself.
Gameplay
Viking Runecraft is a 7x7-grid style video slot powered by software from Play'n Go. This one’s a little different, so if you’re looking for something more traditional maybe shuffle along now. If not, get ready for one hell of a ride! Now, Viking Runecraft might seem complicated but we’re going to break it down for you - nice and easy. Let’s get into it! Symbols include 9 different Norse symbols, such as Thor’s hammer, and a helmet, and 5 runestones, as well as a shield as the BONUS, and a number of other special symbols (but more on those later).
Below the reels you’ll find all of the controls necessary to play the game: Info, Balance, Bet-, Preset Bets, Bet+, Bet, Spin, and Auto Play.
Features
So, what features can you expect from Viking Runecraft?
Symbols drop down in the grid to form wins, which are achieved when you get 5 or more symbols in a connected cluster - touching each other horizontally and/or vertically. Winning symbols are then removed and new symbols drop down to fill the game board.
Unique Features
There are truly a sh*t ton of unique features to get through here, so let me dive right in and try and keep up, won’t you?
Each win contributes to charging the meter of destruction, which will trigger one of the following effects once it is fully charged:
Fury of Fenrir: Four diagonal lines of symbols are slashed on the grid. Two lines of symbols are removed, while the other two are transformed into a different symbol.
Judgment of Jörmungandr: A large number of symbols are destroyed in a single path from one edge of the grid to another. Along the path, random symbols will be transformed into a different symbol.
Scorching of Surtr: Three symbols are set on fire, which can then spread to a random number of nearby symbols (all of which will be destroyed). In each group of destroyed symbols, a core of new symbols is created. All symbols in each core will be the same.
Lure of Loki: Two random symbols are chosen. One symbol, and all its matching symbols are removed from the grid. The other symbol and all its matching symbols are made into another random symbol.
Should you manage to charge the meter for a second time, you will trigger the Ragnarok feature which awards one free game round. When there are no more wins to be achieved during the Ragnarok round, one of the Charge of Destruction effects will play. During Ragnarok, there is an End of the World Bonus meter, which can award multipliers of up to x15.
Let’s also not forget about the Gods. Should you blessed with the presence of a god (by clearing various patterns on the grid), you will move up a level. Each god as their own gift:
God of Wisdom: Four wild symbols are created in two pairs, where the wilds will be vertically adjacent.
God of Thunder: 5 to 9 random symbols will turn wild.
Goddess of Beauty: Wilds are created in four clusters, within the inner 5x5 grid space.
God of Guarding: Seven wilds are made - one in each row.
The Valhalla bonus game is triggered once you collect all give of the Rune stone symbols. During the bonus, you’ll have to spin the Valhalla wheel which will determine a bonus amount for you to win.
Performance
Viking Runecraft is an absolutely sensational slot from Play’n Go. The graphics are almost spookily good (I mean, who designed this game? A god?) and the sound effects are equally as fitting. It’s also available to play on tablet, mobile, and desktop! Honestly, don’t miss out on this one.
Max Win
The max coin win is a whopping 100,000.
Conclusion
I honestly don’t even know where to start with this one. If you’re looking for something truly adventurous, definitely give Viking Runecraft a go. Loads of features, big wins, and a pretty solid RTPRTP stands for “Return to Player.” The RTP describes the total bet amount that a game returns to players over millions of spins, and that figure is represented by a percentage.
