What's in the Vault? Slot Review

I know I sound ancient but I find there’s something comforting about an old-school vault with a big steel door and a wheel lock. To me, that says, “good luck getting in.” 🙅‍♂️

I don’t at all have the same respect for today's digital vaults? Slick touchscreens and facial scans. 👁️That’s cool I guess, until your sweaty finger results in “Access Denied” or it locks you out for 72 hours because it didn’t like how you blink.

Nope, give me the giant wheel any day. These pimple-faced hackers 👨‍💻can crack codes, but they’re not busting through 8 inches of steel without an Ocean’s 11 crew.

Even Just For The Win and Quickfire went old school with What’s in the Vault? slot. Just saying! 🤷

Gameplay

A big golden vault with piles of cash scattered in front of it, complete with a proper money tree. Nope, I wish that was a description of my basement—but it's just the backdrop for this game.

The 5x4 grid matches the vibe, with symbols like diamonds, gold bars, stacks of cash, and gem-filled bags as the high-paying.

On the left, underneath the game logo, are Jackpots: the Mini pays 10x, the Minor pays 25x, the Major pays 100x, and the Mega pays 5,000x.

Above the reels is a progress bar called the Free Spins Multiplier — I’ll break it down in the Features section below.

This 5-reel slot is built on the following stats: 1,024 ways, 96% RTPRTP stands for “Return to Player.” The RTP describes the total bet amount that a game returns to players over millions of spins, and that figure is represented by a percentage. Table games, such as Roulette, typically have higher RTPs than many slots.

RTP needs to be considered in conjunction with a game’s volatility rate.
, a high volatility rate, a 5,000x max multiplier, and a $250,000 max win.

The game only accepts fiat currency, with the exception of the yen and ruble.

Features

FREE SPINS MULTIPLIER

Each time you land 2 Scatters (Free Spins symbols) in the base game, you move one step up the multiplier meter. This increases your Free Spins multiplier, which will be applied once the feature is triggered.

Mystery Symbol

The Mystery symbol is the one with a question mark. All Mystery symbols on the reels in the base game will turn into the same random symbol, except a Wild or a Scatter. If the symbol turns into the Money in the Bank symbol, it will trigger the Money in the Bank feature.

MONEY IN THE BANK

The Money in the Bank symbol is the golden dollar sign, and it triggers the feature when it lands. When activated, only the dollar sign symbol(s) will spin to reveal a prize. Possible outcomes include:

Cash Value - The values are 0.4x, 0.6, 0.8x, 1x, 2x, 3x, 4x, or 5x.

  • +1 Spin - Get an additional spin
  • Mini - Awards the 10x Mini Jackpot
  • Minor - Awards the 25x Minor Jackpot
  • Major - Awards the 100x Major Jackpot
  • Mega - Awards the 10x Mini Jackpot

FREE SPINS

Landing 3 Scatters triggers 8 Free Spins. During Free Spins, all Mystery symbols become sticky and stay in place until the end. If you get a +1 Spin symbol, you’ll be awarded one extra Free Spin.

Performance

The game worked perfectly and I didn’t experience any problems.

Max Win

With the max multiplier being 5,000x, you’ll need to tie it to a $50 bet and the $250,000 max win is all yours. The game accepts bets between $0.20 to $50.

Conclusion

We all know how frustrating it is to land two Scatters but miss the third, which is why one of the features I appreciate most in this game is the Free Spins Multiplier progress bar. Even if you don’t get all three Scatters, you still earn some kind of reward.

And if it takes a while to trigger Free Spins, hopefully your multiplier will be much higher by the time you finally do, thanks to this feature.

This may not be a number one choice, but there’s definitely potential to make some money. Both Free Spins and Money in the Bank can help you score some nice wins.

Another vault that’s just begging to be busted wide open is Leprechaun’s Vault slot by Play’n GO. Leprechauns are known to be stingy, but with a 9,000x max multiplier, it’s hard to believe. Offering plenty of Free Spins and gold, this might be the game you’re looking for.
