Gameplay

So, let's talk about the White Wolf Moon slot. It's got a 5x3 reel setup and 243 ways to win. The game is pretty intense, with high volatility and an RTPRTP stands for “Return to Player.” The RTP describes the total bet amount that a game returns to players over millions of spins, and that figure is represented by a percentage. COLLECT FEATURE

If you land one or more Moon symbols on the first 4 reels and a Collect symbol on the last reel, you trigger the Collect feature. This pays out the sum of all Moon symbol values present on the reels.

RE-SPINS

You can trigger this by landing 2 Golden Paw symbols on the first and last reels. Only blank, Moon, and 1Up symbols appear during your first Re-spin. Landing a Moon or 1Up symbol triggers another Re-spin.

During the Re-spins, each 1UP symbol that lands increases the win multiplier, up to a max of 5x, after which no more 1UP symbols will appear.

The feature ends when no new Moon or 1UP symbol lands, at which point the win multiplier multiplies all the symbol values on the reels and awards them.

MOON BOOSTER

Underneath the reels, you’ll notice a bar meter. At the start of your game, it’s empty and can go up to 16 tokens. This meter shows your progress collecting tokens during the base game but comes into play when the Moon Bonus is triggered.

There are 2 types of tokens: Moon Booster tokens and Collection tokens. Moon Booster tokens are equal to 1 Collection token.

Also, when you land 2 Bonus scatter symbols on reels 1 and 3, the meter increases by 1.

Before the Moon Bonus begins, the game randomly distributes Moon Booster tokens to the Collection Features meters: Doubler, Spinner, Expander, and Prizer. The Moon Booster receives the remaining Collection tokens at the end of the Moon Bonus game.

MOON BONUS

You activate this feature and switch to a new set of reels when you land three Bonus symbols on reels 1, 3, and 5.

Moon and Collector tokens are the only symbols that appear on the reels. You start with 3 Re-spins, and landing any new symbols on the reels resets them back to 3.

Collection features are triggered when 3 corresponding symbols land and are collected. The Doubler, Spinner, and Expander features can be triggered twice during the Moon Bonus game, and the Prizer feature can be activated up to 4 times.

  • Doubler: All the Moon symbols present on the reels are multiplied by 2x, and any Gold Nugget symbol values that you haven’t won yet are also multiplied by 2x.
  • Spinner: Awards an additional Re-spin for the remainder of the Moon Bonus game.
  • Expander: Adds 1 extra row above the reels, and if activated a second time, adds another row to the bottom of the reels.
  • Prizer: When activated, the Prizer places a Gold Nugget symbol in the location of the last token it collected. Each time it triggers again, the value of the Gold Nugget increases from 15x to 50x, 200x, and finally 500x your wager.

BUY BONUS

If you're impatient like me, there's a Buy Bonus option where you can pay 70x your bet to buy the Moon Bonus round. When doing so, 1–8 Collection tokens are drawn, and at the end of the feature, all Collection tokens are discarded.

Performance

I tried everything I could on this slot, and I didn’t encounter any glitches or bugs.

Maximum Win

Surprisingly, for a high-volatility slot, the maximum payout here is just $187,500, or 7,500x your bet if you’re betting the top bet of $25. If you’re not that much of a high-roller, you can also bet as low as $0.10.

Conclusion

This game has a great deal of features to keep it interesting. The base game has a Collector feature that can payout pretty well if you’re lucky. Plus, there is a Re-spin feature you can trigger.

The Moon Booster meter keeps you spinning, trying to fill it before you trigger the Moon Bonus. Then the Moon Bonus is your typical Hold and WinThis feature plays out on a new screen. Typically, you get 3 re-spins (which could be re-triggered), and the triggering symbols usually stick to the position on which they land. Your objective is to land as many symbols as possible on the grid (you could land blank tiles, too).-style Bonus Game, except there are powerful features you can activate to increase your chances of winning.

The Doubler and Prizer features are actually my favorites because they boost your winnings and award bigger prizes than you could get with Moon symbols.
