Dragons are not real right? Well if you go onto google and search for actual facts on dragons, you will find hundreds of pages on how dragons make fire, what they feed on, how much they weigh, what climate they live in. World hunger, poverty, mass murders in war-torn countries, these are things that need attention, but people have time and energy to write thousands of articles on creatures that don't and will never exist. I don't think global warming is what is threatening this planet! It's us.
Wild Dragon takes us back to the far east and one thing I can say about Chinese themed slots, as with the style in the actual country, everything is very ornate with great attention paid to the detail of visual pieces. The slots are backed by what seems to be green tiles of a temple roof. The reels are encased in a finely decorated surround with a temple roof on top of the reels. The dark green of the background offsets the colorful reels beautifully. Each of the reel symbols represents an aspect of Chinese culture and have been finely detailed. Other than being able to play on any of your electronic devices, Wild Dragon does not have much to offer in way of unique features to conjure up wins.
Gameplay
Wild Dragon offers 5 reels and 10 fixed pay lines. You will have no choice but to bet on all 10 lines. To create a win you will need to get 3 matching symbols.
The symbols on the reels are all authentic representations of various aspects of Chinese culture. You will find a phoenix, dragons, Koi fish, flowers and some sort of hat.
The Scatter symbol is a fiery orb.
The Wild is the expanding dragon that can replace all symbols except the scatter and will double the prize when substituting.
The controls sit well positioned on the bottom of the reels and make for an organized gaming experience. While there are not very many features, you will still need the controls to help you navigate your way to some wins. Autoplay, exit, gamble, bet, and stop are on the very bottom. On the top right-hand corner, you will find the pay table represented by a ?.
Features
The only feature in this game besides the multiplier wild mentioned above is the gamble game.
By clicking on the gamble control, you will be taken to a separate screen where you will have an opportunity to draw a card to match the dealer's card. If you guess the correct color, your money is doubled. If you guess the correct suit, your money is quadrupled.

Performance
Visually there was a lot on offer, but as far as gameplay this game was empty. The gamble helped save the day marginally, but all in all the experience was bland. Amatic has, in the past produced games with exciting gameplay but that is not the case here.
Conclusion
Visually excellent, gameplay not. Wild Dragon may appeal to lovers of far eastern culture. Other than that I think they missed the boat with this one.
