Wild West Duelz Slot Review
The infamous Guinness Book of Records once said that Bob Munden was the “fastest man with a gun who ever lived.” However, there is some controversy around the man who “could get out a six-shooter and use it quicker than a frog could eat a fly.”
The undisputed current champion of open draw shooting is Ernie Hill, who drew his gun from a standing position and fired it in an astonishing 0.208 seconds. Daaamn!
I hope we won’t have to face Mr. Hill in Wild West Duelz slot from Pragmatic Play else we might end up looking a lot like Swiss cheese!
Gameplay
Well, howdy, pardner. We’re in the middle of a one-horse dustbowl of a town with some mean fellas, and gals, glaring at us from a 5x5-reel grid.
Pragmatic has worked its usual magic, so naturally, this game looks stunning thanks to the incredible detail. And because the symbols are large enough, and discernable, you can flip your tablet or phone to portrait mode if you prefer. And that means the game is on-the-go friendly.
The Wild symbol replaces all others except for the Scatter, and you’ll find this bad boy on all the reels. The Wild can randomly expand to fill an entire reel – this happens in the base game and Duel feature – and it’ll then also grab random multipliers ranging from 2x to 100x.
And just to clarify; the expansion will only happen if the Wild forms part of at least 1 winning combo.
When it comes to paylines, there are 15 of em here, along with a 96% RTPRTP stands for “Return to Player.” The RTP describes the total bet amount that a game returns to players over millions of spins, and that figure is represented by a percentage. Table games, such as Roulette, typically have higher RTPs than many slots.
RTP needs to be considered in conjunction with a game’s volatility rate., a high volatility rate, and a rootin’-tootin’ €400,000 max win! Yee-haw!
You can play using crypt or fiat currency, just so long as it ain’t the Japanese yen or Tether. Those hombres are unfortunately off the table.
Features
BEER GAME:
If ever there was a feature name that would catch my eye, it was this one. Landing 3 or more Beer Game Scatters triggers the feature and awards 10 Free Spins.
The Beer Game has its own Wild (you’ll see the “W” on a beer glass instead of on a sack of gold). Each landed Beer Game Wild gets a 2x or 3x multiplier and stays on screen for the round's duration.
Sadly, the expanding Wild feature doesn’t come into play during Free Spins, and Free Spins can’t be re-triggered.
DUEL FEATURE:
You’ll need 3 or more Duel Scatters to initiate this round, which is also all about Free Spins (you’ll be gifted 10 spins at the start).
This time, you will be able to get Expanded Wilds and at least 1 Wild is guaranteed to hit on every spin.
LOST RELICS:
Landing 3 or more Lost Relics Scatter symbols awards 3 Free Spins. You’ll be taken to a new screen where 25 shovels are on the grid, and you’ll be asked to pick the 9 you think will yield Wilds and multipliers.
Up to 5 Wilds are hiding behind those shovels, and the multiplier values could be 1x, 2x, 3x, or 5x.
Once you’ve made your choice and the reels get spinning, the number of Wilds you’ve chosen will start hitting. Each win is increased by the total of the multipliers you collected at the start.
Once again, though, Expanding Wilds aren’t available during this feature and can’t be re-triggered.
BUY BONUS:
You can opt for any of the 3 Buy Bonus options:
Option 1: 100x to trigger the Beer Game
Option 2: 200x to trigger the Duel feature
Option 3: 400x to trigger the Lost Relics feature
Performance
Do you know what you won’t see on a Wanted poster? A picture of Pragmatic Play. OK, that was a bit lame but what I’m trying to say is that the game ran so smoothly that you won’t have to take issue with the studio.
Maximum Win
Four hundred thousand smackeroos (€400,000) – that’s what you could clinch in Wild West Duelz slot. Who needs to rob a stagecoach when there’s that much money to be made legitimately?
Step right up and place your bets, starting at €0.20 and maxing out at €20. Now all you need to do is land the 20,000x max multiplier and you’ll be eyeballs deep in whisky and women in no time!
Conclusion
Calling all Free Spins fans – this one’s for you! When last did you play a game that boasted 3 Free Spin features? Add to that the fact that you can score multipliers and Expanding Wilds (in some cases) and you’ve got a recipe that combines fun with money-making potential.
I know it won’t mean much to anyone else, but the fact that I can get all of this on a game that looks as spectacular as Wild West Duelz slot is a bonus for me. And as for that max win – well, shoot! What more do you want from a slot?
