Wizards Want War Slot Review

If Dracula had to be a wizard, he would be the Evil Wizard in this slot, who has a striking resemblance to the famous vampire. For some reason, he has managed to piss off the younger Gandalf looking wizard, representing the Good Wizard in this slot, as these two declare war on each other. I wonder if Dumbledore had something to do with this or if he is just confined to Hogwarts and let the other wizards in the world run the show.

Gameplay

Wizards Want War is a 5x3 reel, 25 payline video slot powered by Habanerosoftware. Symbols include Royal Card Suits (J-A), Skulls, Dragons, Spell Books, the Evil Wizard Character Symbol, and the Good Wizard Character Symbol. Special Symbols include the Wild, the Amulet Scatter and the Skull Fiend Scatter that trigger the Free Spins Feature. There is also a Duel Feature. More detail will be given in the Features section.

The game controls at the bottom of the reels are from left to right: the Information Icon that expands to the Paytable, the Bet window, adjustable Bet Level window, Max Bet button, Spin button, Autoplay button, adjustable Coin Value window, and Balance window. At the bottom of the screen, from left to right, is the Menu icon expanding to the Sound Settings, Quickspin, and How to Play, followed by the Mute Sound button, Turbo Mode button, and Full-Screen Mode button.

Features and Unique Features

Features in Wizards Want War include the Wild, the Amulet Scatter and the Skull Fiend Scatter that trigger the Free Spins Feature, and the Duel Feature.

The Wild substitutes for all symbols, except the Amulet and Skull Fiend Scatters, to form potential winning combinations.

The unique Dual Feature is triggered when landing a Good Wizard Character Symbol on reel 1 and an Evil Wizard Character on reel 5. Before the duel begins, a Wild Symbol formation is selected on a wheel, ranging from 2 adjoined Wilds to 6 adjoined Wilds in various shapes. The 2 Wizards will begin their duel, with the winning Wizard adding a multiplier to the win. The Good Wizard has a multiplier of 3x and the Evil Wizard 2x. After the duel, the Wild Symbol formation is added to the reels and the multiplier of the winning Wizard. You will notice that there are meters on either side of the reels (one with an Orange Symbol and the other a Blue Symbol) each time a duel has been won, the corresponding Wizard's meter will be increased. Once the meter has reached 15 wins, the next spin will have a Wild formation added to the reels for an extra win.

Land the Amulet Scatter on reel 2 and the Skull Fiend Scatter on reel 4 to trigger the unique Free Spins Feature, awarding 10 free spins. Here you will select a Wizard. The Wizard you have chosen will always win in a duel when triggered during the feature, and wins are paid both ways. The feature can be retriggered.

Performance

Wizards Want War is a great addition to the epic battle themed slots with plenty to offer in both the base game and Free Spins Feature that keeps the gameplay exciting. The graphics, design, and animation are well done. The RTPRTP stands for “Return to Player.” The RTP describes the total bet amount that a game returns to players over millions of spins, and that figure is represented by a percentage. Table games, such as Roulette, typically have higher RTPs than many slots.

RTP needs to be considered in conjunction with a game’s volatility rate.
is at 96.59%, with medium-high volatility.

Max Win

The max coin win is 400x your stake.

Conclusion

The only thing that sucks about this epic duel between the wizards is the low max win. With so much going on in the game, and the volatility, one would expect the max win to be a lot higher. It is definitely something to declare war over. Otherwise, the gameplay is fun and highly entertaining. Move over Gandalf, there's a new Wizard in town, and my pen is far mightier than your sword, or is that a wand?
