Crazy Time Review
I love reading the trivia section of Borat on IMDb đżđŹ. Here are some of the highlights:
-
The police were called on Sacha Baron Cohen a total of 92 times during filming đŽââď¸
-
The FBI assigned a team to him after numerous reports of a Middle Eastern man traveling in an ice-cream truck đŚ
-
Sacha received a lawsuit letter from a lawyer who signed it with: âP.S. Love the movie. Can you sign a poster for my son Jeremy?â đ¤Ł
Our next game doesnât require that you wear a mankini â feel free to do so, of course â but instead of sexy time, weâll be playing Crazy Time from Evolution. đ¤Ş
Gameplay
Today weâre going to chat about a game thatâs so popular we had to create a second (identical) table. Now thatâs saying something!
Crazy Time is a live game with no free play, so do bear that in mind. Youâll see that the game has a host and a chat element so that players and the game presenter can engage with one another while the action takes place.
The fun starts with a Wheel of Fortune with 54 segments. Your objective is to predict which segment of the Wheel the pointer will land on once the Wheel stops spinning. But thatâs not all, and weâll get to all the exciting features a little later.
As this isnât a slot game, there are no paylines and the playersâ strategy determines the volatility rate. The RTPRTP stands for âReturn to Player.â The RTP describes the total bet amount that a game returns to players over millions of spins, and that figure is represented by a percentage. Table games, such as Roulette, typically have higher RTPs than many slots.
RTP needs to be considered in conjunction with a gameâs volatility rate. is 96.08%, the max multiplier is 20,000x, and possible winnings are capped at $500,000. Letâs be honest â when last did you see stats like this?!!?
So how do you play the game? Youâll first need to place a bet on the segment where you think the Wheel will come to a halt: 1, 2, 5, or 10 or Cash Hunt, Pachinko, Coin Flip, or Crazy Time.
At the same time as the presenter spins the Wheel, a 2-reel slot mini-game spins above the Wheel.
The latter awards a random multiplier for a random bet spot (thatâs why youâll see a number land along with a multiplier value). Still, these two elements have to align along the slotâs horizontal line to come into effect.
The multiplier will then be assigned to that specific bet spot â 1, 2, 5, or 10 or Cash Hunt, Pachinko, Coin Flip, or Crazy Time â for the current round. So if the Wheel stops on that same bet spot, your bet will be increased by that multiplier.
When it comes to a Bonus bet spot (Cash Hunt, Pachinko, Coin Flip, or Crazy Time), the multiplier of that round will be multiplied by the mini-slot gameâs multiplier.
So, in summary, if the Wheelâs flipper stops on the number or Bonus segment you betted on, youâll win. And your win will be multiplied by the value that came up in the mini-slot game (if it was aligned correctly).
Bets on the number segments are paid according to their odds â 5 pays 5:1, 10 pays 10:1, you get it â and thatâs based on how often the numbers appear on the Wheel because itâs not all the same.
The payout odds for the Bonus segments â Cash Hunt, Pachinko, Coin Flip, or Crazy Time â are determined during the Bonus games. If the Wheelâs flipper lands on one of these Bonus segments, youâll get to play that specific game.
Features
CASH HUNT:
In this game, the presenter goes to a machine with 108 random multipliers on its grid. If a multiplier lands on the mini-slot game, that multiplier will multiply all 108 multipliers, and then all of the symbols will be obscured by random symbols that are shuffled.
While this shuffling is happening, your job is to aim a cannon at the position on the machine the presenter is at, where you think the highest multiplier will be.
Once the countdown is over, the covered symbols will reveal what theyâre hiding, and youâll see if youâve won.
PACHINKO:
This game looks very much like a Plinko gameA Plinko game is played on a pyramid-shaped area with âpinsâ stuck in them. Much like Pinball, a ball gets released from the top and hits the pins on the way down.
Underneath the pyramid is a âtrayâ that catches the ball and is divided into segments; each with a multiplier value. The further towards the edge of the pyramid you go, the higher the multiplier.
Multiplier values are adjusted by cycling through the volatility settings. at first blush as they share similar traits. A ball is dropped from a random section at the top of the game. Itâll bounce off pins and come to rest on one of the 16 random multipliers at the bottom.
Before the ball drops, all multipliers on the game are multiplied by the multiplier value from the mini-slot machine.
If the ball drops on a portion labeled âDouble,â all of the multipliers will be doubled. The ball will be dropped again and can drop on another Double or one of the previously doubled multipliers.
Do this a couple of times and the Double segment will be replaced with a 10,000x multiplier.
A Rescue Drop can trigger randomly if the ball lands on a 2x, 3x, or 4x multiplier. Then, the drop zone (the multipliers at the bottom) will be randomized and the ball will be released again.
In the case of a Rescue Drop, any multipliers with a value lower than what the ball landed on previously will be increased to the value of that previous multiplier. Does that make sense?
COIN FLIP:
You know what this oneâs all about â known as Heads or Tails, the Coin Flip is a game people of all nationalities have been playing since⌠forever, I guess?
Multipliers will be randomly assigned to the red and blue sides of the Coin. If you won a multiplier in the mini-slot game, along with a Coin Flip symbol, that multiplier would be applied to the Coin multipliers.
Once the Coin is flipped, the side thatâs facing up is deemed the winner. The multiplier will be applied to your bet.
Randomly, a Rescue Flip can happen when the multipliers are low and the Coin will be flipped again.
CRAZY TIME:
Trigger this bad boy and youâll get to play on a 64-segment Wheel filled with multipliers and with 3 flippers. Once again, any multiplier value you score on the mini-slot game will be applied to the multipliers.
Youâll choose one of the flippers â green, blue, or yellow â and see where it lands. The multiplier you land on will boost your bet accordingly.
If your flipper lands on a âDoubleâ or âTripleâ segment, your multiplier values will be boosted by 2x or 3x. Do this several times and the Double and Triple segments will become a 20,000x multiplier.
Performance
Despite being a game thatâs streamed live, I didnât encounter a single problem while testing it.
Maximum Win
Betting ranges from $0.10 to $1,000. The largest multiplier you can win is 20,000x and the gameâs potential payout is capped at $500,000.
Conclusion
Man, what a game. No wonder itâs been so popular!
This has been a long review, so Iâm not going to rabbit on too much â you know that Crazy Times is a many-layered thing with incredible winning potential. You certainly wonât get bored because you never know what type of game will kick off.
Iâm usually not the biggest fan of live games but this one has definitely won me over.
