Limbo Review

Limbo can mean wildly different things to different people 🌍, but in fact, they’re closely related in a weird way.

For those living on sunny, tropical islands ☀️🏝️, Limbo is a game that is rooted in the traditions of Tobago, where it first emerged. The objective is to move forward under a low bar without falling or knocking it over 🎉.

The dance itself has its origins in events held during wakes on the island of Tobago 🕊️.

The other type of limbo stems from the belief that in the Limbo of the Fathers, righteous individuals could not enter heaven simply because they were born before the arrival of Jesus Christ ✝️. These poor souls sit in a place between heaven and hell 🌥️🔥.

So when you’re at a wake in Tobago, enjoying a game of limbo, you might be celebrating the life of someone who’s stuck between the best place, and the worst place known to man 🕊️🔥.

Limbo by Hacksaw is a little less serious, and a lot more simple 🎮.

Gameplay

Limbo is the ultimate test of nerve, pushing you not to see how low you can go, but how high you're willing to reach to win big. With the potential to win up to 10,000x your bet, it's a game of bold moves.

Set your target multiplier in the input field on the user interface. The target multiplier must be between 1.05x and 10,000x.

To start the round, place your bet. The large number in the center of the screen will then count up to a value. If this value meets or exceeds your target multiplier, you win an amount equal to your target multiplier times your bet.

Your current balance is displayed in the Balance section, showing your funds in the currency you’ve chosen.

The current bet amount is shown in the Bet display. You can adjust your bet by clicking the arrows and selecting your preferred amount.

Autoplay lets you play multiple rounds automatically. To use this feature, press the Autoplay button and select the number of rounds you want to play. The remaining spins are displayed, and you can stop Autoplay anytime by pressing the Stop button.

In the Advanced Autoplay settings, you can set the number of plays, a total session loss limit, and a single win limit. Autoplay will stop automatically if any of these limits are reached.

Turbo Play speeds up the game for faster rounds. You can activate Turbo Play from the menu.

This game features an RTPRTP stands for “Return to Player.” The RTP describes the total bet amount that a game returns to players over millions of spins, and that figure is represented by a percentage. Table games, such as Roulette, typically have higher RTPs than many slots.

RTP needs to be considered in conjunction with a game’s volatility rate.

Conclusion

Hacksaw has come out with another delightfully simple and elegant, yet fun and entertaining game.

All that Limbo requires is a brave heart and the willingness to go big. Simply set your multiplier, and see if it beats the house.

I ended up playing this game for hours on end, and ended up making a tidy sum.

If you’re not into the bright flashing lights, often complicated features and crappy soundtracks of traditional slot games, this one's for you.

PaylinesPaylines are preset lines that run across the reels, and when you land matching symbols on them, that will result in a payout. The more paylines, the more ways you can win, but also the higher your bet per spin.: N/A
Volatility RateSlot games can have low, medium, high, or extremely high volatility rates (or a combination thereof).

The less volatile the game, the more often it should pay out, but the lower the amount, the less the payout, as this is in keeping with the risk you’re taking. Volatility rate should be considered in conjunction with a game’s RTP.
