The Plague City slot isn’t exactly treading new ground with its post-apocalyptic theme, and that’s always going to be a handicap. There are already plenty of slots in this genre. Personally, I love the Fallout ripoff from Gamebeat called Slotout. It’s shameless in its attempt to copy the Fallout look and feel, but it feels tongue-in-cheek rather than nefarious. The Plague City slot lacks that charm. It’s not bad. It’s just not great.

The Plague Wave Respins are the standout feature, giving the base game something interesting to offer while you wait for the free spins. The bonus round is also well put together, with sticky wilds, growing multipliers, and Vaccine upgrades creating a genuine sense of progression. I’m just not sure the features save it for me. All in all, I give it a seven out of ten.
