Get Gangster with the Wild Card Gang Slot from BGaming
Al Capone was basically the OG CEO of Crime, running Prohibition-era Chicago like a Fortune 500 company, just with more tommy guns and way fewer HR complaints (because snitches didn’t live long enough to file them). The guy turned bootlegging, racketeering, and bribery into an art form, all while rocking a pinstripe suit and a grin that screamed, Yeah, I just had someone whacked. What of it? He dodged every major charge the Feds threw at him, only to get taken down for tax evasion. Proof that the only things you can’t escape are death and taxes.
BGaming is tapping into that insane time in American history with its new Wild Card Gang slot, a mob-themed game that promises to bring the chaos of the Roaring Twenties straight to the reels.
The mean streets of Chicago
The Wild Card Gang slot from BGaming features a Cluster Pays mechanic instead of traditional paylines. Betting starts at just $0.20, with a maximum limit of $80. If you’re betting at the upper limit, you could win up to $400,000, thanks to the 5,000x maximum multiplier. The slot has very high volatility, meaning wins can be rare but potentially massive. The RTP is 97.25%.
The Wild Card Gang slot game features a Cluster Pays mechanic, where wins are awarded when four or more matching symbols appear on the reels, touching either vertically or horizontally. Winning amounts increase as more symbols are added to the four-symbol minimum, up to a maximum of 12 symbols. Any combination of 13 or more symbols pays the same as a 12-symbol combination.
After a winning combination is paid, some symbols in the cluster will disappear, while others level up into a higher-paying symbol. New symbols then fall into the empty spots, creating the potential for additional wins on the same spin.
A round of free spins is triggered by landing four or more scatter symbols. Four scatters award 15 free spins, five award 18 free spins, and six or more award 20 free spins. During free spins, any symbol involved in a winning combination marks its cell. If a marked cell is part of another win, it gains a 2x multiplier. This multiplier continues to increase by 2x each time the cell is used in another winning combination, up to a maximum of 128x per cell. These multipliers remain in play until the end of the free spins round.
If you don’t want to wait for scatter symbols, you can also purchase a round of free spins at any time.
Is the Wild Card Gang slot worth dealing with the mob?
I’m not sure the Wild Card Gang slot lives up to its name. There are no wild symbols whatsoever and the gameplay isn’t particularly wild. Sure, the graphics do a nice job executing on the “Card Gang” part but that’s about it. I really thought there would be some wild symbol features with a name like that. That being said, the slot does still have a lot to offer. I particularly like the cell multiplier free spins feature, which offers a chance at some impressive wins. That said, I’m not sure this one was my cup of tea. I give it a seven out of ten.
If you’re looking for a few BGaming slots that do tickle my fancy, try Kraken’s Hunger or Wild Chicago, which does live up to the name.
