Firekick! MultiMax Slot Review

I’m a little worried about bad-mouthing the most popular game in the world. Ha! If you’ve read any of my other drivel, you’ll know that I don’t give a rat’s sphincter what anyone thinks.

So, the point I wanna make is that soccer players are as rabidly fanatical as religious zealots. If you don’t think so, let me draw your attention to one incident that sums it up.

Back in 1994, Columbian defender Andres Escobar (no relation to Pablo) was murdered after an own goal saw his team jettisoned from the World Cup.

Now, we can argue that it was for some other reason, but in the absence of any proof to the contrary, we’ll have to go with this theory. And don’t even get me started with the whole soccer hooliganism thing, OK.

Anyway, let’s kick off with Firekick! MultiMax slot by Yggdrasil.

Oh joy, another soccer-themed game. Mind you, it’s still a welcome change from Norse gods, Ancient Egyptians, and fruit slots.

The thing is, this is another inauspicious-looking game that has the Yggdrasil name attached to it. I mean, compare this to Champion of the Underworld slot or Baron Samedi slot – you’ll see a distinct difference in design languages.

Having said that, Bicicleta slot – another soccer-themed game on the studio’s cards – looks similar. And the two share other similarities, too.

Our current game offers a max win of €200,000 (vs €190,000), and an RTP of 96% (vs 96.3%). Where the games differ is in terms of the volatility (this one is “super high” versus “medium”), and payline (the current game boasts 243 ways vs 25 fixed paylines).

When it comes to the hit frequency – in other words, the percentage wins per set number of spins – Firekick! MultiMax slot’s is 21.97%. The average is somewhere between 20% and 30%.

The Wild symbol replaces all other regular ones (so not the Scatter), and randomly increases the Reel Multiplier, which you’ll see on top of each reel, by 1x to 3x. A Wild will replace one of the symbols in a winning combo.

Wins require that you land similar symbols on 3 or more consecutive reels, and they need to start on the leftmost reel. The game uses the Avalanche mechanic, meaning that symbols involved in a win get removed so others can take their place.

Firekick! MultiMax slot is only available to players who work with fiat currency, so you crypto dudes will have to sit on the bench for this one.

This is the main feature of Firekick! MultiMax slot. Landing 3 trophy Scatter symbols gets you 6 spins, 4 symbols award 8 spins, while 5 Free Spin symbols will see you clinch 10 spins.

Reel Multipliers will apply to all winning combos on their respective reels, and they don’t reset between spins!

Once you’ve initiated the Free Spins round (either organically, or having bought your way in), you’ll see a pop-up window asking you if you wanna gamble them for even more spins.

You can keep going for up to 11 Free Spins and in order to do that, you’ll need to cheat the goalie. You see, you’ll have to pick which direction (left or right) you think you should kick the ball in order to score a goal.

Each time you find the back of the net results in an extra spin, but just one loss means you’ll lose all your Free Spins so try to collect your spins before that happens.

But here’s the good news: you could be saved from losing all your spins. The Firekick! feature happens randomly, and it will gift you a single spin even if you lose your gamble.

This option will cost you 70x your current bet and it gets you into the Free Spins round.

GOOOOOOAAAAAALLLL! Yggdrasil has seen to it that their games are optimized across all devices, which was definitely the case here. After more spins than I can count, I’m pleased to report that I didn’t experience a single hiccup.

Maximum Win

The max win comes in at €200,000 thanks to a generous 10,000x multiplier, but you’ll need to bet at the €20 cap. If that’s too rich for your blood, then place your stake from €0.20 upwards.

This isn’t a game for me, and I’ll tell you why. I’m not the target audience (as in I’m not a fan of soccer); I prefer my games to be well-designed; and I like exciting features, or at least more features than just Free Spins and the ability to gamble them.

In the interest of objectivity, let me clarify that I don’t think this is a poor game. The stats are decent, and you can accumulate some sweet multipliers. It’s just not for me.
