More Gold Diggin Slot Review
Take Caddyshack, move it into a gold mine, add some hillbillies and what you have is More Gold Diggin, a visual treat of a video slot created by Betsoft. Imagine being a part of the days where you could go from zero to hero with one strike of your pickaxe. I like that idea – it's the modern equivalent of winning the lottery but with odds that were actually decent! Apart from the hard work and long hours, I could easily have been a prospector…. Anyway – back to More Gold Diggin: This slot plays across all devices and is wacky, wonderful fun. Right from the start, I knew I was in for a different kind of experience and couldn't help loving the slapstick humor. More Gold Diggin takes us to a gold mine where the not so bright prospectors are tormented by a mischievous, but incredibly cute gopher. I found myself watching the animations on the home screen for quite a while before I took the first spin – wondering when and where the gopher would pop up. Each time he did appear, I couldn't help having my spirits lifted. It was the kinda day that had been a long slog, and this was the perfect antidote.
5 reels and 25 paylines give More Gold Diggin a medium level of volatility. The symbols are a variety of precious stones and minerals, joined by some special items: A TNT Barrel and some dynamite, which is the wild (substituting for all symbols). The reels don't spin in this slot, but instead, the symbols fall and winning paylines explode, thereby allowing for more symbols to fall, replacing them. The controls are artfully entrenched into the background of the mine. Right at the top, you can find your View Pays and Options (including Turboplay). At the bottom of the mine are Balance and Credit Displays. Further below are Choose Coin, Bet Per Line, Bet, Win Amount, Bet Max, Spin, Double Up and Autoplay.
Every time you have a winning spin in regular play you get a chance to Double Up (ie-Gamble). Here an attractive blonde (definitely less inbred than the main two miners!) deals out 5 cards. She turns over the last one, which reveals the dealer's card. You need to choose one of the remaining 4 with the object being to pick a higher card. If you succeed your profits are doubled, if you don't, kiss the profits of your last spin goodbye. 3 or more TNT barrels activates 10 Free Spins which are re-triggerable. These Free Spins have exploding multipliers of between 3x-15x to add to the excitement!
More Gold Diggin has exploding symbols which come with multipliers. A Multiplier Meter at the top of the screen increases with each explosion. In regular play, multipliers are between 1x-5x. Upon explosion, space for new replacing symbols is made.
The graphics and animations are nothing short of dazzling. The sound effects are a great additive to the mix while the music (banjo version of “Smoke on the Water”?) sets the scene wonderfully. I had no performance issues with More Gold Diggin and I played it for many hours!
Humour – Yes! Awesome presentation – Yes! Great features – Yes! More Gold Diggin has loads of appeal – especially if you like multipliers. I found myself laughing while collecting my winnings – which is always a great combo.
