Mr Vegas 2: Big Money Tower Slot Review

Gary Busey is arguably best known for his role as Buddy Holly and was quoted as saying, “they finally realized I have the same-sized teeth [as Holly].” And he ain’t kidding – Busey has some serious gnashers. 🦷

The word is that his 1988 crash on his Harley left him with serious facial damage and Busey actually opted for oversized teeth when having surgery to correct all of his issues. I’m not sure why he went for bigger-than-normal teeth; that’s all the Interwebs told me.

And it’s big teeth that are the link to our next game, Mr Vegas 2: Big Money Tower slot from Betsoft Gaming. You’ll see why as soon as you fire up the game. Trust me.

Gameplay

Don’tcha love the characters that BetSoft has come up with? We’ve got Mr Vegas himself – all porcelain veneers, piercing blue eyes, chest fluff, and gold chains – and his two “companions.”

Looks like those poor girls’ washing machine is on the fritz coz it clearly shrunk all their clothes. Poor dears.

While the setting for Mr Vegas 2: Big Money Tower slot isn’t exactly awe-inspiring (being the foyer of a casino), the clean background comes into its own when you play on a mobile phone as it doesn’t distract you from the 5x4-reel grid.

This version of the game also looks way better than its predecessor, which was super busy and old-school looking.

The good news continues as we discover 60 paylines, an RTP of 96.06%, a very high volatility rate, and a commensurate max win of €249,792. Also, there are no currency limitations so you can go crazy with the crypto or fiat you like best.

The Wild roulette wheel replaces all symbols other than the Big Money Tower and Scatter. Wilds appear on all of the reels.

Any of the reels can land a stacked mystery symbol. These will reveal a symbol that’s not a Big Tower Money symbol or a Scatter, but Wilds could be revealed.

Features

BIG MONEY TOWER:

Landing a Big Money Tower symbol on reels 1, 3, and 5 simultaneously triggers this feature.

A random tower – either a bronze, silver, or gold one – is selected each time the feature begins. Your task now is to climb to the top of the tower to reach the moolah at the top. Each rung is represented by an increasing multiplier value, and you climb up by means of a coin flip.

If the coin flip lands on COLLECT PRIZE, you’ll grab your money at the current multiplier level and go back to the base game. If the coin lands on SPIN AGAIN, you’ll keep climbing.

FREE SPINS:

Entry into the Free Spins round requires hitting 3 Scatters on reels 2, 3, and 4. At the start, you’ll be shown 2 face-down cards – pick one to discover the exact type of Free Spins round you’ll be embarking upon. The options look like this:

  • Free Spins with Sticky Wilds – Wilds that are part of a winning combo become sticky for the duration of the round. Wilds appear on reels 2, 3, and 4
  • Free Spins with Expanding Wilds – Wilds expand along the entire reel for 1 re-spin. Any new Wild awards and additional spin. Wilds appear on reels 2, 3, and 4 and all ways pays happens, too (in other words, pays happen both L-R and R-L)
  • Free Spins with Random Wilds – 2 to 6 Wilds will appear in random positions
BUY FEATURE:

You can buy any of the 3 Free Spins bundles I mentioned above, but the prices are hectic!

  • 10 spins with a Sticky Wild = 702x your bet
  • 12 spins with Expanding Wilds = 1,107x your bet
  • 15 spins with Random Wilds = 936x your bet
## Performance

I had no issues with performance while playing Mr Vegas 2: Big Money Tower slot.

Maximum Win

While the max win of €249,792 is impressive, the largest multiplier isn’t. It comes in at 2,602x which means you’ll need to be consistently at €96 if you want a shot at the big bucks. However, you can bet from as little as €0.30 if you prefer.

Conclusion

This second version of Mr Vegas differs from the OG version in several ways. Getting into the Free Spins round was different in the OG version (you had to roll a die and slot machine symbols unlocked extra spins).

The original version also had a Money Wheel feature with a progressive Jackpot. And there was a roulette bonus round. So in some ways, Mr Vegas 2: Big Money Tower slot seems like it’s taken a step backward.

I found it notoriously difficult to crack the Big Money Tower feature, too. And those Free Spin options under the Bonus Buy are the most expensive I’ve seen in a long time, if not ever.

So, for me, Mr Vegas 2: Big Money Tower slot has some positives but quite a few – and not insubstantial – drawbacks.
