I did not inherit this. I am still at parties when the host is in pyjamas 🥱. I am the dessert person. I have never once left at the right time in my life.

Gamzix apparently heard about my problem and made a whole game out of it. Cue RedJet game 🧑‍✈️– a little red plane, a climbing multiplier, and the singular question of when exactly you're getting off.

Gameplay

Right, so forget everything you know about slots. No reels, no paylines, no Wild symbols, no Scatter, nothing. RedJet slot is a crash game. Completely different format.

Here's how it goes: a red propeller plane – genuinely cute little thing – sits on the runway. You've got a countdown from 5. Place your bet, the timer runs out, the plane takes off, and a multiplier starts climbing from 1.00x.

Your one job is to hit Cash Out before the plane flies off the screen. Do that and your stake gets multiplied by whatever the meter was showing when you pressed it. Miss the window and the bet's gone. No recovery. No second chance. Just gone.

Enable it and the system places bets automatically each round. You set the bet amount, the number of rounds – or leave that field empty and it runs until you stop it manually – and a pre-set Cash Out value so it cashes out automatically when the multiplier hits your target.

You can still override with manual Cash Out mid-round if you change your mind. I appreciate that they left that in.

SOCIAL LIVE FEED:

This is a social game, which sounds like a small detail but genuinely changes the feel of it. Real players in the same round at the same time.

The Active Bets panel shows everyone's stakes and usernames live, and you can watch in real time who cashes out and at what multiplier as the round plays out.

You pick your own username – so whatever's showing up in other players' feeds, that's a name you chose. Games History at the top of the screen shows the final multipliers from every previous round, and there's a Leaderboard too if you want to see who's been having a good session.

Watching a stranger hold at 47x while you're already sitting on a cashed 8x and the plane is still climbing is a specific kind of experience. Stressful. Compelling. Sometimes they make it!

The social feed is the bit that stuck with me, honestly. It's just more interesting to play when you can see other people making the same decisions in real time – or wildly different ones.
