Welcome to the gritty, dark, and violent world of Riot 2: Burn and Blow slot. Even the soundtrack will put you on edge – I could only stand a few minutes of it before my anxiety ran amok and I had to reach for a Xanax.
In the depressingly dark urban background, you’ll see cars peppered with bullet rash, while rough-looking dudes and crazy masks are on the reels.
Interestingly, things don’t look too bad on a phone. The symbols and controls are all easily distinguishable, which I wasn’t expecting from a game that looks kinda busy.
Getting down to the stats, we find a so-so RTP of 95.38% coupled with my favorite volatility rate of medium/high. The hit rate is 43.1% which is pretty high, actually.
The action plays out across 25 fixed paylines, and the max win available here is €75,000. Yeah, I’m also disappointed.
Features
This sequel to the original Riot slot has a whole whack of features. But let’s start off with the symbols, shall we?
WILD:
Two characters make up the Wilds on this game: Bomberman and Firestarter. Wilds replace all symbols other than Scatters.
SCATTERS:
Likewise, there are 2 Scatter symbols: one is a bundle of Dynamite, the other is a red Barrel of crude oil.
Land 4 or more Dynamite bundles and they’ll magically transform into Bomberman. If you land 4 Barrels instead, they turn into the Firestarter.
You’ll actually see a tug-of-war thing happening below the grid as the different types of Scatters come in. As one meter fills up, the other gets depleted. And the upshot is that this accumulation level is linked to a bet level. So, the more you grab, the bigger the bucks.
BLOW! FREE SPINS & FEATURE:
You’ll need to fill the Blow! Free Spins meter with 12 Dynamite symbols and in return, you’ll be gifted 15 Free Spins. Every landed Dynamite symbol will now become sticky.
The Blow! feature is activated when you land 4 or more Dynamite symbols and then the symbols transform into Bomberman Wilds.
BURN! FREE SPINS & FEATURE:
Collect 16 Barrels on the meter and you’ll get 25 Free Spins. Landed Barrels now also become sticky. Fill an entire reel (or more if you can) with Barrel symbols and you’ll kick off the Burn! feature – this transforms all Barrels into Firestarter Wilds.

Sadly, the most you can hope to clinch in this game is €75,000. Look, it ain’t nothing so I’ll take that all day if it’s being offered.

Conclusion
The original version of this game debuted some 2 years ago, but the idea of having 2 types of Free Spins has remained the same.
I scored a bunch of Free Spins of either variety, but I struggled to turn those opportunities into cold, hard cash. Even with the Firestarter Wild in play.
Still, it’s a solid offering from Mascot, even though the max win and RTP numbers are on the lower side. It’s a decent game to play on the go, so this might be an option for you mobile freaks out there.
