The title of this next game, Trump Card Queen slot from Mascot, had me thinking about those Donald Trump NFTs that went into circulation not too long ago. Do you remember those?

There was mass ridicule when the NFT cards were first launched, but critics soon had to eat humble pie when they sold out.

The latest update – and I’m writing as of end February 2023 – is that the cards have surged in value by like 800%. And that, my friends, shows that there’s no accounting for taste or preference. Which is a point I’m going to make at the conclusion of this game.

Gameplay

Sweet! Mascot Gaming has gone the whole Alice in Wonderland route with its latest offering, making me wonder why no other studio (that I know of) has thought of this before. The theme really lends itself well to slot games.

Playing Trump Card Queen slot in landscape mode is my preferred orientation (portrait is OK, but there’s more background than I would’ve liked).

You’ll see Alice, the Cheshire cat, our fabled white rabbit, a key with a heart on the reels, and various playing cards as the low-paying symbols.

The Wild is a big, red heart and this symbol replaces all others except for the Bonus symbol. Wilds become sticky during the Bonus and Super Bonus games, which we’ll get to a little later.

There are 25 paylines on this 6x3-reel grid. The RTP tips the scales at 95.20% and the low volatility rating means the max win is on the low side, at €75,000. The good news is that you can play with whichever currency you prefer.

BUY BONUS:

You’ll be offered this feature during the base game after each spin whether you score a win or not. So, what’s it all about?

You can either buy your way into the Bonus round – you’ll start with 5 sticky Wilds – or carry on with the base game. As for how much the buy-in costs, that amount varies, so you’ll need to look at what’s displayed.

Oh, and you won’t see the Buy Bonus option offered if you’re using the Autoplay feature.

BONUS GAME:

Landing 5 or more Bonus symbols during the base game will launch this feature, but in my experience, it was super challenging to manage.

Triggering Bonus symbols immediately transform into sticky Wilds, and you’ll get 1 spin when you start. Only Wilds will appear on the grid during the feature, and each newly-landed Wild will also become sticky and trigger an additional spin.

The Bonus game ends when no more Wilds land… but that’s not the end of things. Straight after the Bonus game ends, the Super Bonus game starts.

SUPER BONUS GAME:

This round kicks off with 3 spins and that’s the giveaway as there’s no other indication that you’ve transitioned into the Super Bonus portion. As in the previous game, each new Wild becomes sticky and will reset the spins to 3.

Fill all the reels with sticky Wilds in the Bonus or Super Bonus games, and the game ends. But don’t despair; you’ll be paid an amount equal to the highest-value symbols across all paylines multiplied by the number of Bonus spins left over from the Super Bonus game.

Performance

Trump Card Queen slot was built on HTML5, so it came as no surprise that gameplay was seamless during testing. And of course, it didn’t make a difference whether I played on my phone, tablet or laptop, or if I swapped between Safari and Chrome.

Maximum Win

If you bet at the maximum of €25 and land the 3,000x multiplier, that means you’ve scored the top prize of €75,000. You can, of course, downgrade your betting to €0.25 or anything in between.

Conclusion

I can’t say I enjoyed Trump Card Queen slot too much, and I’ll tell you why.

As I mentioned earlier, it takes a Herculean effort to trigger the Bonus rounds in the base game, so you either have to cough up frequently or you’ll end up bored coz there’s no action (other than wins).

This isn’t a game I’ll be coming back to but hey, they say there’s something for everyone so it might be up your alley for whatever reason. Maybe you’re a fan of the theme, or you like that you can play it on your phone or tablet – far be it for me to judge.
