Venetian Magic Slot Review
I was in Venice earlier this year, and while it was incredibly beautiful (I don’t think anyone can deny that), I was a little surprised at how damn noisy it is.
As a tourist, you kind of expect that old world Venetian charm. Gondolas, gorgeous restaurants overlooking the canals, the Basilica – you get what I’m saying, right?
But what everyone seems to miss, is the fact that Venice is a modern day city. And instead of cars, they have boats. Noisy ones.
Yeah, they’re not all gorgeous old wooden gondolas. My favorite moment was watching a Fedex boat driver fighting with a UPS one. It felt quaint, but almost a little dystopian.
So, I’m not sure if Venetian Magic slot from Mascot is going to capture the chaos of contemporary Venice – but maybe that’s for the best.
Venetian Magic slot from Mascot is a 6-reel (something different!), 50-payline game. The theme is pretty much what you’d expect, with graphics depicting ye olden day Venice – the one we’ve all come to know quite well.
If you’re going to insist on playing this one on your mobile device, definitely go for landscape mode. The extra reel makes things a little cramped in portrait mode, so do yourself a favor and consider that when playing.
The sound effects are alright (meaning I didn’t mute them immediately), but the generic violin music can get slightly grating after a while. And as for the graphics… well they almost seem to come out of the early 2000s (grainy, and a little basic).
As far as the stats go, we’ve got a low 95.7% RTP and a low volatility rate. All of that works out to a max win that goes up to 7,600x your bet (or €380,000 – pretty damn generous).
The Gondola Wild substitutes for all symbols and will trigger the Sailing Re-spins feature.
SAILING RE-SPINS WITH SAILING WILDS
If you land at least one Wild symbol on the reels, the Sailing Re-spins feature will be triggered. However, the Wild can’t contribute towards a win in order to activate this round.
All Wilds become sailing Wilds, moving across the reels one place for each re-spin (from left to right). On each re-spin, new Wilds can appear and more Sailing Wilds will be added to the reels.
The round ends when there are no Wilds left on the screen.
So, Venetian Magic slot is pretty much problem free. However, when checking the paytable and info I found that the screen froze a couple of times.
This isn’t a major issue, but it’s one to look out for. All you need to do to rectify things is close the paytable screen and exit back to the base game.
Other than that, you can play Venetian Magic slot on your mobile or desktop, and the browser of your choice (yes, even Internet Explorer).
I was incredibly pleased with the €380,000 maximum win! However, the RTP and low volatility rate means that you’re more likely to see moderate wins. Oh well, a girl can dream.
Betting starts at just €0.25 and goes up to €50, and you’ll need to score the 7,600x multiplier to land the top win.
I’ll admit that I had low expectations for Venetian Magic slot. It looks a little janky, and the stats aren’t the best.
However, when I got down to business I found that I actually quite enjoyed it. It’s simple, but could be a great option for newbs just getting into online gambling.
But if you’re looking for something a bit more exciting, I’d go with another slot.
