The Jungle Empire Slot Review
I always thought a toucan's beak was just for show. That it was like one of those slick mofo dudes who like to wear their sunglasses out at night because they think they look cool. đ
But as is often the case, I was wrong (only in real life, not when it comes to game reviews, so don't stress). It turns out that the beak works like a radiator, so basically, a toucan runs a climate control âïžâïž out of its face.
In The Jungle Empire slot from Booming Games, the toucan is one of the better-designed symbols (damn, the others look janky!).

Gameplay
Man, I can't get over how messed up the tiger symbol looks, and the gorilla is not much better. Booming Games must have given the designers the day off and allowed some three-year-olds to have a go instead.
The 5x3 grid has 20 paylines, the RTPRTP stands for âReturn to Player.â The RTP describes the total bet amount that a game returns to players over millions of spins, and that figure is represented by a percentage. Table games, such as Roulette, typically have higher RTPs than many slots.
RTP needs to be considered in conjunction with a gameâs volatility rate. is 95.8%, volatility is high, and the max multiplier is 1,450x. The max win is $145,000, with bets running from $0.20 to $100.
The Gorilla symbol sits at the top of the food chain, paying 37.5x for 5-of-a-kind. The Tiger pays 17.5x, the Elephant 15x, and the Toucan 12.5x. The A, K, and Q symbols fill out the low end, paying 5x, 3.75x, and 3x for 5-of-a-kind.
The Wild symbol is a palm-fringed sunset that substitutes for everything except the Scatter. At 50x for 5-of-a-kind, it's the best pay on the grid.
A 2x version doubles any win it joins, but it only lands through the Random Bonus Reel. The Scatter is what unlocks the Free Spins.
Features
FREE SPINS:
Land 3 Scatter symbols on reels 1, 3, and 5 to award 10 Free Spins. Once you're in, the only way to add more is the +1 or +2 Free Spin Scatters that arrive in the Random Bonus Reel.
Sticky Wilds:
During the Free Spins, any Wild that lands on reels 1, 2, 4, and 5 locks in place and stays for the rest of the round, so they build up as you go.
RANDOM BONUS REEL:
This can fire at random and replaces the middle reel (reel 3) with a mix of 3 special symbols. In the base game, that's Double Symbols of the Gorilla, regular Wilds, Multiplier Wilds, and Free Spin Scatters.
The Double Symbol counts as two Gorillas, which is how a 6-of-a-kind reaches its 37.5x top line. In Free Spins, the reel swaps in Double Gorillas, Multiplier Wilds, and extra spins instead.
Performance
Despite how poorly designed some of the symbols are, at least I can't complain about the game's performance. It did its thing smoothly and without any issues on my various devices.
Maximum Win
Okay, so what are we dealing with here? You can score the max win of $145,000 by combining the absolutely horrendous 1,450x max multiplier with the top bet of $100. The smallest bet you can place is $0.20.
Conclusion
The game's money-making lives almost entirely in the Free Spins, where the Sticky Wilds pile up, and the Random Bonus Reel keeps feeding you Multiplier Wilds. The base game is mostly a waiting room for that round.
Outside of Free Spins, the Random Bonus Reel is the one thing keeping you awake, since it's your only shot at a Multiplier Wild in the base game. When it doesn't show, you're grinding the low-pays and hoping the Gorilla turns up.
Because there's no Buy Bonus and no Ante BetAn Ante Bet is an option that costs a percentage of your bet but increases your chances of landing triggering symbols that initiate a feature., you've got no choice but to grind your ass off and hope for the best.
Low-risk players will find the high volatility swings to be rough. Balanced and high-risk players are who this game is built for, since the whole thing only wakes up once the Scatters land.
However⊠high volatility next to a 1,450x max multiplier is an insult. There's no other way to put it, and personally, it pisses me off quite a bit.
