Ok, this slot is going to be divisive. There are no two ways about it: Bullfighting is a contentious sport. One side of a passionate argument pleads animal cruelty while the other maintains that it's cultural heritage at stake.

Let me start by reassuring all: Not a single animal was harmed during the making of El Toreo! In fact, GameArt took extra care to ensure the safety of the digitally rendered bull – he appears to be encased in gold. Kinda tough to plunge a sword through that Mr. Matador! They also made this bull a free-range animal – able to wander between your P.C, mobile device or tablet!
Despite all humane concerns, there's an undeniable adrenaline rush at the thought of staring down an aggressive 1000 pound beast. I wasn't sure whether I wanted to embrace the excitement in El Toreo, but I felt it coursing through my veins nonetheless. The drama starts at the first spin and carries on unrelentingly.
Gameplay
El Toreo is a 5 reel 10 payline slot, making it reasonably volatile. The symbols are well drawn, all in a distinctly Spanish flavor. The slightly smarmy looking matador is the wild and can replace anything except the golden bull which serves as the scatter. These two foes are joined by a red rose, beautiful senorita, Spanish guitar, and a sword. At the bottom end of the value spectrum are the face card letters.
In fine GameArt fashion, the controls are well laid out. On the far left is a settings button, where you can toggle the music and gamble functions on or off. Next to that is the Paytable Info, neatly summarized into one page. Finally, there are Bet Per Line, Autoplay, Spin, Balance, Total Bet and Win Amount. On either side of the reels is a counter which displays the Winning Lines.
The Autoplay has no advanced options, and there's no Quick Spin – both are a bit of a bummer, but I never really missed them.
