Of course, when I rented a firefighter uniform and burst into the bedroom, all she could do was giggle hysterically for the rest of the night. Way to ruin the mood!
Flaming Reels is an ambitious GameArt offering intended to bring the heat to your P.C, mobile device or tablet. It's not only got the obligatory male model firefighter but the same sort of adrenalin rushing excitement as we've gotten used to seeing on our screens. I felt inspired to maybe try rent that costume again – second time lucky?

Gameplay

Flaming Reels is a low volatility 5 reel and 25 payline slot. The standard symbols are a handsome firefighter, helicopter, fire hat, fire hydrant, firetruck and ablaze 10-Ace icons.
The wild is the firefighter's badge which appears on reels 2-5 only and can substitute for all standard symbols. What it cannot replace is the bonus scatter, which is a forest fire.
I would have liked to have seen a bit more game-specific design for the controls, but despite that, they do their job well. All below the reels: Settings, Paytable, Bet Per Line, Autoplay, Spin, Balance, Spin and Win.
Take your time fighting these blazes, because you won't find a Turbospin.

Features

Gamble Feature: After each winning spin in regular play a simple Gamble option is offered in which you can wager your profits on a double or nothing bet on card color.
Second Chance Stacks Feature : A reel contains stacked symbols if the same symbol occupies all its positions. When this happens on 2 of the reels between reels 1-3, the second chance stacks feature is activated. After being paid out, the first reel from the left ignites and a helicopter flies over, dousing it with water. The reel then transforms into another stack of symbols and you are paid again. (If the stacked symbol is the forest fire scatter, then all the reels not containing this symbol catch alight. If the stacked symbol is not this scatter, then the first reel from the left ignites)
Free Spins: If 3,4 or 5 reels contain a stacked forest fire after the Second Chance Stack Feature, 9,12 or 15 Free Spins are awarded.

Performance

Graphics and animation re realistic and evocative in Flaming Reels. When rendered correctly, fire always catches the eye and it certainly does that here. The music is oddly incongruous out of place (it's like kids party music!). The sound effects fit the theme perfectly though.
I couldn't find fault with Flaming Reels on any devices tested.

Conclusion

I had to hide Flaming Reels from my girlfriend because I feared that if she discovered it, I might not see her for days. If you're a fan of these courageous heroes, then this game is worth playing. The heat and adrenalin ooze off the screen while the remarkable features offer some fantastic rewards.
