Queen of the Seas Slot Review
Shiver me timbers, are you landlubbers ready for adventure? Well, then it's time to follow “The Queen of the Seas” on her search for booty! Unfortunately, by “booty”, I am referring to treasure… Nonetheless, Queen of the Seas video slot by GameArt is a thrilling adventure on the high seas, which works across all devices and platforms. With a female pirate captain who looks like an NFL cheerleader, this game grabs your attention for from the start. To get into character, make sure you squint one eye, scowl and brace yourself! Pirates are just plain cool, and that's how you feel – like a fierce and fearless bandit of the sea, ready to take on the world. So batten down the hatches and do your best Jack Sparrow impersonation – it's time to plunder that booty! For goodness sake – get your mind out of the gutter, I'm talking about treasure!
Blimey – this 5 reel slot has 20 paylines! You lucky scallywags! Numbers 9 and 10 are joined by face card letters and some vividly drawn pirate symbols, of which our pirate queen is foremost. She is joined by a parrot, pirate ship, staked treasure map, compass, pirate skull (wild) and of course treasure chest (scatter) Navigating this boat isn't even a wee bit tricky. Amidship (center) is the spin button, while on the port (left) are the settings (for Music and Gamble), Paytable Info and Autoplay. On the starboard (right) are you Balance Display, Total Bet amount and Win Display. Surrounding the vessel are the Winning Lines Display. As auto plays go, this one is fairly simple, which is good and bad. You choose how many spins, and you're free to wander to your cabin, alley or poopdeck. You can't, however, set it to stop with any pre-set win parameters.
Wilds, scatters, free spins and multipliers increase your chances of hobbling off with some loot. Wilds substituting in a win get your payouts doubled! When landing free spins, you have the following choices, each with different win multipliers : Gold is 6 free spins (10X) Silver is 10 free spins (6x) Jewels are 15 free spins (4x) Pearls are 20 free spins (x3)
There's a Gamble feature which can be turned on in the settings section. After each win, you have the option of a double or nothing bet by choosing the card color on a card flip. It's nice to switch this diversion on and off depending on your mood.
The graphics are great, and the pirate cove backdrop is very atmospheric. The music isn't present always, but is designed to build excitement when it plays. I found it a bit strange that after a win I was treated to the William Tell Overture, which is, in fact, the Lone Ranger Music! It's all smooth sailing performance wise, and the game hits no rough seas.
What's not to like? Be a pirate for a day under the command of a gorgeous captain! It's certainly a childhood fantasy of mine. So smell that salt air and be energized by the promise of adventure – this a journey on which you will want to embark.
