Venetia Slot Review
Venice is sinking, but it’s not the only city that is. Venice is beautiful, but if all you’re going to do when you visit is sit on a cheap gondola for the duration of your trip, then I think you might be a bit of a lost cause.
Venetia is a 5-reel, 20-payline video slot powered by software from GameArt. This slot, as the name would suggest, is set in Venice so expect a lady wearing a mask, doves, winged lions (the symbol of Venice), street lamps (spooky), a houseboat, and playing cards from 9 to Ace. The Scatter is represented by a gondola, while the Wild is represented by an ornate mask.
Moving on: Controls are relatively simple, but bear with me for a sec. From left to right expect Settings, Paytable (which shows how much the symbols are worth), Bet Per Line (from 0.01 to 1), Auto Play (which will spin the reels for you), Spin, Balance, Total Bet, and Win Display.
So, what features can you expect from Venetia?
Gamble: To increase your winnings, you can click on the ‘gamble’ button, triggered after a winning round. All you have to do is guess whether the face-down card is black or red. Guess right, and you’ll double your winnings, but get it wrong, and you’ll be sent back to the base game empty-handed.
Wild: Substitutes for all symbols except Scatter. Doubles when substituting.
Venetia offers a nifty free spins feature, which is triggered when 3, 4, or 5 Scatters emerge on the reels. This triggers 15 Free Spins with a x3 multiplier. This can be re-triggered.
Venetia offers a performance as good as Shakespeare’s The Merchant of Venice (so, excellent). The graphics are truly stunning, the soundtrack is suitably corny, and it’s available on any device.
Overall, I really enjoyed this game. It might not have all the bells and whistles, but it’s solid - with generous payouts, exciting features, and more. So, give it a whirl! I’ll be coming back to play Venetia again, and so will you.
