The background is HD, with piracy symbols scattered around an island. The most outstanding element has to be the skeleton swaying in the cage. This background is appealing, but there's confusion when it comes to the main show: the grid. I enjoy the scroll the symbols are on, but the symbols and game information section is too fuzzy for my liking. It's super jarring and destroys the profound effect this game would have. Yggdrasil's technology choices are as powerful as the background, which divides my experience of this game into two. Most of the design work and the entire technology component receive a thumbs up, but the fuzzy symbol effect doesn't.
