Nuvela Blockchain Casino Hits $50 Million ICO Soft Cap

A blockchain casino in China has hit its $50 million ICO soft cap just 16 days after launching the funding round. The highly ambitious blockchain casino – run by Chain Bae Pte Ltd – is hoping to modify a number of slot games to accept its native cryptocurrency, in a bid to add blockchain to land-based casinos. The majority of the ICO tokens will be used as deposits into casino accounts around Asia, while the remaining funds will be used as an investment pot for several Asian businesses.

Tekken Taken to the Next Level

Nuvela’s first slots to accept cryptos will be the Tekken Video Slots, as it firmly believes in Bandi Namco’s vision and products. The slots will be converted to accept and dispense Nuvela’s token, before being distributed in casinos around South East Asia. If Tekken proves to be popular, it will then focus on bringing other video slots from the Bandai Namco brand into the blockchain world.

Tokens Listed Soon

It’s expected that in the first half of 2019 Nuvela’s tokens will become tradeable on a number of popular Asian crypto exchanges. Nuvela has already struck deals and partnerships with several high-profile exchanges in the region, including OEX, KEX, Bluebelt, and SoarEX. While none of these exchanges have confirmed or denied the reports, they have all recently relaxed their token listing policy – meaning that Nuvela’s token could realistically be listed in the coming months.

Broken Slots Causing Big Problems

Hopefully, Nuvela has taken note of the recent incident that happened at the Talking Stick Casino – a tribal casino – in America. After a faulty light made a player think he hit the jackpot, he tried to sue the casino. Fortunately for the casino, the tribal council sided with it and the complaint was thrown out. Hopefully, when Nuvela is modding the Tekken slots it remembers to check that all the bulbs are working and operational.

Gambling is highly popular in Asia, and with the potential of playing using blockchain technology it could quickly become even more popular. Currently a number of regions in Asia don’t permit gambling, so casinos that allow players to use cryptos are very popular. This new crypto addition to Nuvela’s casinos could help cheer up the Asian gambling scene, especially after Hainan was ruled out as a new gambling hot spot in China.
