The-80s-Called---They-Want-the-Miami-Wild-Jack-Slot-Back

The 80s Called. They Want the Miami Wild Jack Slot Back.

Miami Vice was popular before my time, but from what I’ve seen, it captured the 1980s in aggressively airbrushed brilliance. Each episode struts in wearing linen, zero socks, and the confidence of a man who thinks “pastel” is a personality trait.

The plot usually involves drugs, speedboats, and someone making a deeply questionable life choice under magenta lighting, while a synth track that could only have existed in the 80s.

With my intro in mind, it’s no wonder that I have little in the way of nostalgia for the aesthetic Gamebeat is chasing with its new Miami Wild Jack slot

Welcome to Miami

This slot revolves around the interaction between the Bank symbol and a range of special symbols that unlock additional features. When the Bank symbol lands on reel 1 and/or reel 5, it activates Coin, Gold, and Scatter symbols, triggering their respective features.

When a Bank symbol lands with Coin symbols on the reels, it collects all the coins and awards the combined value. Each individual Bank symbol triggers its own collection sequence, meaning multiple bank symbols will collect the same Coin symbol values.

Once triggered by a Bank symbol, the Gold symbol is transformed into one of four fixed jackpot prizes: Grand, Major, Minor, or Mini. The prize value is determined by your current bet level.

A round of the slot’s free spins feature is triggered when a Bank symbol and Scatter symbols appear on the reels. The total number of free spins you receive is calculated by multiplying the combined value of all Scatter symbols by the number of Bank symbols that triggered the feature.

During free spins, there are several new special symbols that will appear on the bonus rows. To start, the Key symbols remove one lock from four additional bonus reels that are placed above the standard reels. The reels are unlocked from the lowest locked row, progressing upwards.

When a Bank symbol lands on one of the bonus rows, it will remain fixed in its position for at least three spins. If a Bank symbol lands on the third bonus row, it remains for four spins, and if it lands on the fourth bonus row, it remains for five spins. When you unlock the fifth bonus row, the Bank symbol becomes permanently active and remains in place until your round concludes.

When the Falling Wild symbol appears with a Bank symbol, the Falling Wild symbol drops WILD symbols onto the reel below it. It will drop three Wild symbols on reels 1 and 5, and four on reels 2, 3, and 4. If a position already contains a Wild symbol, that position is given a multiplier, with each additional Wild increasing the multiplier value.

The Dynamite symbol can land anywhere on the reels. When it appears on empty reels or on the main reels, it replaces A, K, Q, and J symbols with a randomly determined number of Coin, Bank, and Gold symbols. After this replacement, the Dynamite symbol transforms into a Coin symbol.

The Sticky Coin symbol remains fixed in its landing position. It begins with a value equal to 1x the total bet. When one or more Bank symbols appear, each Sticky Coin’s value is locked at the current Coin value and doubles on every spin in which a Bank symbol lands. Once the Sticky Coin reaches 16x the total bet, it transforms into a Gold symbol and is then removed from the reels.

Is the Miami Wild Jack slot the cure to my aversion to the 80s?

I might not be the target audience for this one. That said, the Miami Wild Jack slot features engaging graphics and interesting locations. The bonus feature list is extensive, almost to an overwhelming extent. So, there is something there. And while it might not be my sip of Piña Colada, it’ll definitely tickle the taste buds of the right audience. I give it an eight out of ten.

If you’re looking for a few Gamebeat slots that I do recommend, try out Sticky Wild: Farm 51 and STOLBIK777.
